Depends what you're looking for. Turbo is more efficient. If you can afford it turbo>sc

efficient as in what? ... and dont superchargers cost just as much? ... also, what is the main difference between them?

Well turbos make more power per ilb/bar of boost. Superchargers are spun by a belt that is driven by then engine and more rpm=More boost. Tubros are driven by the exhaust gasses so they dont have a parasitic effect on the engine. Tubos make more power up top while an SC will have a wider broader powerband that starts down low. When you have an SC your engine is under boost for more time then with a turbo, which is only under boost when it is under load.

ahh i see, so for racing turbos are better for roll races and superchargers are better from a complete stop... correct?

+1 but some ppl who have never owned a turbo will say u have to wait for like 10 years for it to spool up but it doesn't maybe at the most it's like a second to spool up I say if you got the cash go turbo

LOL another one of these so many arguments on this in the forum. I like turbos better because you can up the boost as much as you want but you will need supporting mods.

Just search up some there's a ton of information on here and other forums on the comparison. All you need to know.
And no turbo kits are generally more expensive for a good kit and need supporting mods because you can boost more, but if you stay low boost you don't need as many

Are you going to Race a whole lot ??????????

Or do you just want a good driveable street car with a lot of power when you want it?????????

If you are just looking for a nice boost to a street car you use every day you should go to a Turbo. You can pick up great power without putting undo strain on your engine and get as good or better MPG then you get now. You can now get a twin scroll Turbo Charger that eliminates the Turbo lag 100% ( Of course they cost a little more)

The problem is you need to go to a guy like John Hennisy for this because I don't know of any do it yourself bolt on Turbo for A Mustang 2011 3.7 V6.

You know you can do both at the same time.

That car Hennessey built to outrun the Bugatti Vayron was both turbo & Super Charged. It was on the show Car Crazy and he took Barry McGuire for a 240 MPH + ride in it. Look for a repeat of that show on Speed Chanel or it may have been on Volicity.

All it takes is "HITTING THE LOTTO" or something like that. Oh, You live in Texas so you probably have an oil well in your back yard.

Things that ensue here when I'm away...

The size of the engine has nothing to do with turbo lag, whether it's V6 or V8. It's the size of the turbo. Smaller ones spool faster, larger ones spool slower. It's about properly sizing the turbo to the exhaust flow of the engine. All are different and you can tailor it to a specific RPM range. This is awesome in the fact you can make launching easier (due to lower hp numbers at lower rpm) but make it pull like a freight train once you have traction. It's called turbo mapping, look it up.

I've posted a ton of info on this forum about the two power adders and their various pros and cons. Feel free to search, you'll learn a lot if you listen to the right people.

Its not turbo and supercharged it has twin 67s. Texas is nice for cars though and Hennessey builds some nasty **** and its sweet there! But supercharger all the way I got it and I love it and the power range is so much longer than a turbo. Also hellion makes a kit but its almost 2k more than a supercharger.
