exhaust pipe diameter question.

I recently put two resanators on my exhaust line but I want to remove them and put it back to stock. My question is to replace the missing pipe that was cut out would I need a pipe of 2.25" inside diameter to slide over and then weld it? Thx for any input.

It's 2.25 stock. I'd replace the oval bent driver pipe with a solid pipe like the passenger side

I have a question also maybe a little off topic... if I get gt500 axles and fit them to my stock pipes would I need to resize them again if I get a performance exhaust?
