warning about installing rear spoiler on decklid

Hey guys, if you decide to install a factory spoiler on the rear of
your Mustang deck lid there is a trap waiting for you that you need to be aware
of so you don't go through the hell I went through. After you have drilled the
four holes in the deck lid and are ready to install the nuts on the studs to finish
the job, you need to secure the nut in your socket wrench with dum dum or you
need to use a magnetized socket. When I was installing the nuts on my spoiler
I was tired and in a hurry and tried to start the nut on the left inner stud with
my fingers, and then tighten it. The nut slipped from my grasp and fell inside
the deck lid into never never land. Believe it or not, the hole for
the inside studs has nothing below it to keep the nut from falling all the way
to the bottom of the deck lid if you drop it while installing it. Using two magnetic
extension tools it took me three hours to fish the nut out of the deck lid. If you
drop it you have to fish it out because it rattles every time you open and shut the
deck lid. The safe way to do it is to secure the nut to your socket so it can't fall out and install the nut using the socket.

This guy...

Anytime there is a chance of dropping a nut, washer, bolt, etc. down something, I always cover up the opening with a rag, towel, cardboard, or pretty much anything that would stop my losing my nuts.

Wish I could find something to keep my nuts safe when I'm with my Fiance...
