The 2010's aren't 5.0 they are still 4.6 but still a great upgrade!

Nice looking car, but you should try to get a 2011 GT so you can get the 5.0

The 11&12 5.0s in my area are selling for more now than they were last fall, with double the miles.

Just out of curiosity, what's your reasoning in your trade in for the 4.6? In my honest opinion, it really doesn't seem necessary unless you're going to go up to the 5.0...

Maybe I'm not seeing it right?

200hp to 300hp? Where are you getting these numbers? 3.7 is rated at 305hp, 4.6 is 315hp. (To the crank, that is) Yes the torque comparison is substantially more with the GT, but is 45 ft/lbs of torque worth making the switch? There's simple bolt-ons and tunes that can make a 3.7 see those numbers.

And I'm not saying it's a bad switch and I personally would love a v8. But IMO, our little 3.7 pushes just fine!

Yes, but those same simple bolt-ons and tunes will make the 4.6 show even better numbers. I'm with you though. I'd keep it and hold out for the right deal on a 5.0.

Well you sir have a good point. I'm pretty sure Bighebs10's v6 is a 3.7.

I could be wrong though...

I have a heavily modded 3.7 and I test drove a 2014 5.0 today and I didn't notice a difference in performance at all except for the sound.

Modded v6's can hang with the v8's and have Cheaper insurance

I personally would never trade a 3.7 for a 4.6! Our 3.7 is a world class engine full of tech compared to the old 4.6. Today's 6ers are yesterday's v8. The 5.0 on the other hand. : )

I do have a 10 v6 so it would be a big upgrade. Reason I'm not getting the 5.0 is because I can't afford it lol. But I'm really hoping to get this gt. throw some pypes bombs on it and just drive around

Haha. That sounds like a good plan. I hope you can get it. It sounds like you will thoroughly enjoy it. Good luck!

Aha! Probably those 4.10's were a big improvement in the way it felt when you installed them. The one I drove felt pretty strong. Funny, the salesman was actually encouraging me to romp on it a bit. They're usually telling me to slow the frig down...

idk man. I loved the 5.0 tho. the one I drove was $41000 which I thought was a bit pricy! if I had the chance I'd take a 5.0 but for me the gas and insurance is jus too much. it was sad letting it go but I got in my 3.7 and everything was ok again. lol. It could have been the 4.10s giving it the "feel" of it pulling harder. they both great cars in their own way.

If you have a 2010 v6 then yeah go for it. If its the new 3.7L don't waste your time. With a magnaflow exhaust, CAI, and the 93 Bama race tune I'm beating 2010 GTs with my 12 V6. Just some food for thought. No disrespect forwards v8s but I think it's better to have a fast v6 whoopin on those v8s.

Yeah I really hope I can get it. The dealership didn't offer me enough money (ofcourse) so I have to wait and try to private sale. I have a friend who is really interested and going to the bank next week so hopefully it will work out.
