Need Exhaust Help!

what's up guys!
I've had a Lethal performance o/r H pipe, and it's been giving me nothing but problems.

When I first put it on, it would rattle, and have this unbearable grinding-like sound at 3k rpm, when not flooring it, and the pipe would bang.

I took it to a shop, practically guided them on what to do, and that got rid of the banging problem, but the grinding sound at 3k was still there. the pipes hung like 2 inches too low after they were finished.

I got tired of only being able to use 1 side of my driveway (it's a circle driveway) so I tried to adjust it. I loosened the pipe from the manifold, disconnected it from the catback piping, and jacked up the piping from the middle of the h pipe.
I tightened the pipe from the manifold, then reattached it, it gave me another 1/2 in of clearance, however, I still scrape against the driveway
In addition to the lack of progress, I have managed to regain that pipe banging sound.

At this point, any help is appreciated :''(
and i'm also wondering why the stupid pipe didn't come in 1 piece to begin with......

You need a different exhaust shop! Lol.. Does the cat back part need to be lessened and pushed up?

I tried that, I'm just sick of messing with it. It's making this stupid grinding noise at 3k rpm, and it's nothing mechanical.....

Have you talked with the vendor themselves? Most have a web site and a "contact" to tech reps. Give them a try before you possibly pitch it.

Grinding sound is bad

The pipe may me touching the driveshaft just enought to make that grinding sound.

I see you have a 2012, Call Leathel and see if a 2012 and 2013 are the same. They may have sent you one for a 2013 that may just be a little different. ( Probably not but wrth asking)

Also, Could you have installed it upside down?? There may be a slight difference in which way up it is to be insalled.

Any way, It does not fit so you really need to call them and ask about stuff like this.

Ronnie

The grinding isn't an actual thing grinding, it's the way I'm trying to describe the sound at 3k rpm at part throttle

Good observation Ronnie. I too was wondering if the H pipe was installed upside down.

The parts that come down from the manifold are too long, my driveway has about 2" of clearance at stock ride height

Why I'm saying is I went to an exhaust shop and had it adjusted/ welded moved it up to where it's only 1/2 an inch too low, I can live with that, but my driveway is unforgiving :p

I'm gonna take out my mufflers and drive around and see if that gets rid of the 3k rpm sound

The sound is likely a vibration due to either solid hangers or contact with the body of car and at 3k it makes the right frequency to make a sound

Not to sound like I'm attacking you, just stating what I know. And I realize that without posting a video it's not much help. I appreciate the advice tho.

So

Straight piping didn't help, so I'm going to keep the mufflers
I think I'll swap out to a different muffler in the future.
(Although the turbo might change the exhaust note)

Only supercharge I'd get is a twin screw.
Centrifugal Is lame :p
TT + twin screw> TT> Turbo>twin screw> centri

---------- Post added at 05:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:56 PM ----------

Plus when I turbo

It'll act like a resonator and should quiet down the exhaust tone a little bit

OP, forget that lethal performance o/r h pipe. You need to step up to the BBK O/R x pipe. I love my off road x pipe. Music to my ears.
