Benefits of shorty headers

So I currently have the BBK catte x pipe with borla touring. I am considering getting the BBK shorty tuned headers.

Any one have info on the sound and power gains with the shorty headers?

Most people say it's not much of a gain, mostly a replacement or for turbo, if got them I would get the ceramic ones to lower underhood temps, I don't know if it's worth the extra $100 tho

I currently have the BBK Tuned lenght Ceramic shorties and flow master 40's on my 2010 GT. Not much power gain, But deff increase the throttle response IMO once agin thats just my opinion. It also made the exhaust note alittle raspier, and it just improved the look under the hood to me anyway. I forgot to mention the car is also cammed..

Did you notice any change in volume? Also did it give it a deeper tone?

Raspy meaning a higher tone. I'm interested in them too. Just don't know about it the first go of the product.

I've been wantin to get these as well. Everyone says to get long tubes but not everyone wants them.

I'm just curious on how it does on our v6. Just haven't pulled the trigger just yet.

IMO there was no real significant seat of the pants power gains. It does sound deeper. I'm overseas so ill check the MPG when i drive to Mustang Week from Louisiana.

Yea i've heard long tubes have the better benifits. However im running sportlines on mine and didn't wanna chance damaging the headers. Louisiana roads are not the best for lowered vehicles. Thats why min is just a weekend cruiser

But the guys car is a pp v6 but in the video he has a GT/CS. Not sure if that's a fake appearance pack like I've seen or an actual GT. sounds like a monster v8

That's a GTS not to be confused with the GT/CS.

Shelby v6? That's right, the GT/CS has a sleek running pony and no tribar.

Yeah a catted H pipe. High flows so they are just barely legal. I'm looking more for the sound of cats. It's like $500 but hey, with $1200 in brand new headers and piping, iTs about $200 less with shorties I believe.

Cammed? 3.7 V6? Who provides cams for the TiVCT setup these 3.7's have?

I appoligize if i made a mistake in inputting my engine size somewhere. However i DID say in my 2010 GT. If you know what size motor cam in the 2010 GT you would know that it's not a 3.7l...

Crowler can have your stock cams regrinded for a higher lift providing the true lope and small gains.
