Ford employee leaks details

A Ford employee posted this on the Ford Inside news Forum today. Hope he doesn't get fired!

Quote:
"Don’t worry mustang fans, we had an employee reveal today, and the Mustang got a huge applause.
As far as looks go,
I thought I was looking at a tweaked version of current, so it looks very much like mustang.
Profile is a bit more fast back like.
Rear is more sporty, with more rake.
Rear fenders bulge, not unlike the hero stang we recently saw from NFS movie.

We also saw a performance version, and all I can say is, it is maybe the most beautiful car I have ever seen.

Enough for now".
He also stated that he saw very little Evos styling.

For those who are wondering what hero stang he is refering to, here is a pic.

and here is an overlay of the spy shots with a current Mustang.

So my prediction is that the new mustang will be very similar in the aspect of size, and overall shape to the current generation, but it will be a bit more curvy, with a more shallow sloped rear window, and a larger rear end. The nose will also be slimmed down in the front corners, and shortened by a few inches.

Didn't we hear from a Ford rep. several weeks back who also said that there will be little Evos in the new Mustang.

And we also heard several months ago from a rep. saying that the new Mustang would be "evolutionary", in other word not a totally new style.

Looks like that's what we will get.

It seems from what I've read in articles here and there that some writers think Retro means a solid rear axle. And modern is an IRS. Ford called Gen5 Retro Modern. So Gen6 will be Modern Modern. lol

Either way I believe we're going to see one Classy Stang. Took me a while to warm up to the 11/14 rear end styling but its now my favorite.

I have never, and will never buy the first year of a body style or engine package. The first year always have more problems then the year that follows

Not always. And many times when something becomes a collectors item the first year is worth more money.

I agree with this on the motor portion, but it took ford 4 years to fix the 04 5.4 3v motor issues....and the later years still had issues

I've had mixed luck with 1st years

The 05 wasn't great it had issues

Anyway my Dad bought '98 Oldsmobile intrigue when it first came out it had several issues ended up getting a lemon tittle and GM bought it back

He bought a '99 no where near the issues

My Mom had a 02 Buick Rendezvous it had a lot of issues

Brother bought an 05 Magnum no issues

Also from the spy shots I've seen it looks like they'll hang onto retro design with an IRS and new chassis
