Weekend Project - Plasti Dip 2012 V6 PP Wheels (Before/After)

What you guys think? I like it. Maybe I'll add gloss to it later one once i get tired of the matte look.

Thanks!.

Actual work wasn't that much, but it did take me most of the day on Sunday due to washing the car, waiting for it to dry, tape up everything, and waiting for it to dry between coats.
I did it w/ the wheels still on the car, and just did the trash bag on brake technique.

I got the plasti-dip from Lowes. I used total of 3 cans. Each wheels have about 6 light coats. I was initially concerned about spraying in the inside of the wheel, but decided not to. It came out great.

Thanks for the support guys.

I'm really pleased with the results.
I did the grille before the rims because I really like the blacked out look. I'm sort of a plasti-dipaholic.

Nice, glad it came out great.
I been thinking of adding glossifier to it. Not sure if I need to re-dip the whole thing or just add layers on top of it.

Since you are a plast-dipaholic, have you had experience with glossifier?

Thanks!

I'm kind of debating this too.

You don't need to re-dip, just make sure they're nice and clean before spraying and you'll be set. It will take to what you have just fine.

Just hate the fact that I can't just drive to Lowe's and pick up few cans of glossifier.

I know, I've begged my local Home Depot management lol.

That's what holds me back is I don't feel like spending $40 on a couple stupid rattle cans of spray paint to be delivered.
