Opinion: side scoops

I already have quarter window louvers (roush) and rear window louvers. Will adding side scoops be too much?

This is a question I really believe you have to answer for yourself. My quick and personal opinion is no, it wont be too much. I think they will look great...

Which leads me to my original point though.

Since you are the one driving the car, you need to enjoy what you're doing to it more than others will. So if you don't think it's too much, if you think it will look great, do it! If you think it will look like poo, don't do it ; P. Thats the beauty of it, its your money, your choice!

Me personally side scoops on a black car is overkill, you can't really seem them like the louvers. Any color than bright enough to actually see the scoop completely works. I would hold off on scoops but side skirts is another story those really finish off the lower part of your ride.

my personal opinion is that side window louvers and side scoop goes together as a package. I'm currently thinking of adding both to my car but can't decide on which side window louvers

IMO sides scoops are lame. A really cheap knock your your car. If you are going to do it, buy the rear qtr panel with scoops built in. A little more pricey, but the look is unmatched

To me it looks okay, but it can't compare with one molded in the fender

The above is a great response. It all comes to this: who makes the monthly payments? That person gets to make the final decision!

That was quick you just asked the question, then an hour later you say you added the scoops. Where they already on when you asked?

I think they look nice on a black car...kind of a moot point now.

Sorry it's off topic but do you have a aftermarket hood? It's hard to see in the picture.

Leave it without. I try to make all my mods functional, yet couldnt resist my gt500 wing and quarter window louvers. The quarter windows I always am unsure if I want to keep, but they do block out the disproportionate quarter window and keep sun out....but they do block a good chunk of visible blind spot space. Im tempted to get so many stick on things but I think a bunch of it just makes the car tacky

Another good answer. I was going to buy the flush mount louvers (the ones that require you to remove the stock quarter window glass to install), but ended up dropping the idea. What little view I have pulling out of my neiborhood would be even more impared if I blocked off the glass by even 25% on the quarter windows.

I really like the look of most of them, as it is a good retro look to the Mustang Fastbacks of the 60's.

Man, the louvers look NICE on your car.
As for the side scoops. If you like 'em, run 'em.

Saw them in person and decided not to get them. Does anyone know if there are any functional side scoops that exist?

I'm usually not too into cosmetic stuff, but I think they'd look good on your car.

I am personally not interested in the louvers and scoops, but for those that actually have them, they do look nice

I am also not a fan of those stick-on louvers or non-functional vents. They create drag. No function at all.

Likewise, I plan on changing the hood because I'm not a fan of the fake hood scoop it came with.

I think your car looks really nice as it is right now. I would keep it like this and maybe add the scoops down the road. Your car is beautiful
