Weekend Project - Vinyl Wrap Roof

My vinyl came in on Friday from ebay, so I decided to tackle the roof wrapping this weekend. It is my first time wrapping a roof and I did my research on the DIY.
The process went smoothly, but the part I thought may be easy turn out hard and vice versa on the part I thought would be hard to do.

Here is the final result, what you guys think?

I had to do a double take on the pictures because i was thinking "i dont remember taking those pix"

After i saw your car I just tint my front side markers.
And i just ordered vinyl for the hood. Not sure if i want to go C-stripe on the side or not.

This looks pretty sick. I've been wanting to do this to my Kona for awhile now. Might plasti-dip it first and see if I can make it look good.

looks really good, I am planning to do that to my car too. Was the hardest part tucking in the edges?

That was what it thought prior to wrapping. That part turn out quite easy.
The hardest part for me was laying down the vinyl. If you have another pair of hands helping with that part, it should be pretty easy.

Overall process took me 1.5 hrs from beginning to finish. I did not clay bar the roof though.

Well that is good to know, where did you buy your vinyl from and how much did it cost? If you don't mind me asking

I got it from ebay. They ranges from $50-100, I just bought the cheapest one because I wasn't sure if I'm going to mess it up or not. The vinyl i got wasn't perfect, there are few burnt/wrinkle areas that i had to smooth out.

That looks really good. I like the gloss way better than the matte I've seen on some others. Yet another idea I'm stealing from you guys. Lol

I think matte looks good to, but it takes away from the OEM look that gloss vinyl gives out.

However, from my previous experience, matte is easier to work with compare to gloss.

I think I'm gonna try it in matte black. I'm just worried how it'll look with my CF hood.

why don't you try 3M CF Di-Noc wrap. I used those as interior wrapping on my previous car and it was super easy to work with.

They make both matte and gloss CF vinyl, if you have a real CF hood, then I would go w/ gloss.

Yeah, I've actually got some of that vinyl. It really doesn't look anything like carbon fiber. Besides, I'm still on the fence about painting my hood to match my car. I think I'll try the matte black and see how it looks.
