13' GT500 quad exhaust on 13' V6?

I know I'll need to cut the bumper to fit the valance as well as find a shop to weld the exhaust on due to different pipe diameters.

Is there anything else I should be aware of before I jump the gun?

Also, does anyone have a sound clip of the 13' GT500 quad on a 13' V6?

thanks

I believe that the pipe on the gt500 is 3" where as the v6 is 2.5" so you will need to weld on an adaptor

Never mind just read your post lol

Magnaflow does have quad tip for 2011/2012, but unfortunately according to AmericanMuscle they don't fit on the 2013. So I'm outta luck

well, since no one has input I pulled the trigger and order myself a set of 13' GT500 quad exhaust, also got a GT500 front bumper coming. I guess it'll be a full GT500 looks conversion sans the shelby/cobra logos.

Very interested to see the GT500 mufflers on your 3.7. I don't think we've seen this done before. Are you going to take it to a shop to install? Where did you get the set up, OEM?

I got all the parts 2nd hand from take-offs, bumper, hood, and exhausts. Can't afford new ones, only the valance will be new

and I'll be attempting to install myself unless it really requires a weld

I've seen a couple vids of 2011-2012 v6s with the 2012 gt500 mufflers which will sound basically the same and it sounded very good!

I just had a shop install the 10-12 gt500 mufflers on my 2012 along with gt resonators and OTA pipes. I'll see if I can get a clip tomorrow

Well I got it done. But got damn it I just noticed one of the muffler sticks out more after I got home. But without the valance I have no idea how much it should stick out. Should I get the shop to redo it now or should I wait for the valance then ask them to redo it

Wait for valance... You might need the other one moved out.

Better question: what does it sound like?

you got a point there... I'm not sure if they needed to be moved in or out. so I guess I will wait for the valance.

And it sounded much more loud and deep toned, maybe slightly too loud for me. Sometimes I feel a bit being obnoxious driving a car with loud exhaust when I'm not actually going fast. However, when you open up the throttle it's a night and day difference between stock and these exhaust. It's a lot of fun in tunnels that's for sure.

Agreed. It would look better with the valence.

It would be sweet if you could post a vid! Very curious on what this sounds like.

Yep, sounds pretty good to me. Doesn't sound horribly obnoxious like some of the really open exhausts either.

well, it does look much nicer with the valance.
Had the shop readjusted the muffler now it looks about right. Not perfect but acceptable I guess

Thanks for the comments guys.
I recorded another clip driving around the block for anyone who's interested.
I taped my iphone 4s to the rear valance with masking tape... lol
Driving slightly aggressive but not WOT.

And I hear some squeaking sound sometimes going over bump(such as 0:40 and 1:54 mark). Anyone know what that is from?

Sounds good, and my exhaust does that too but its only when I drive it aggressive. Considering I can't sew what's hitting when I'm driving I can't for sure tell but I think the mid pipe clamps come lose and rattles or since the exhaust is light it bounces and hits something
