New headlights?

So I'm considering getting these halo projectors for my 11 if I do this I would most likely have to get new hid bulbs so what do you guys think of purple hids with grabber blue?

IMO i'd go white, but nothing higher than 8k, that's a whitish-bluish mix. should look nice either way.

The higher in the spectrum you go above 4300k (factory temp), the less light output you get. With projectors, you'll still have a bluish hue even with pure white. Don't bother with anything else.

You have the HID? My halogens were 4000. Right now I run a 4300 headlight and a 4200 fog. Both sylvania zxe. Nice crisp white. Not blotchy like factory. I wish I had the HID though

I think 5k is pure white right? So I'd stick around there, not a fan of any blue tint whatsoever ever.

4300 is pure white. I would most likely go with those BC the Raxioms are smoked. I definitely would not go over 6k

Technically 6000k is pure white some cheaper kits come with a slight blue tint hat is supposed to happen when they turn on with a blue tint but once fully warmed up they become pure white if you notice in some Lexuses they come with hids that have a slight yellow hue to them that is 4300k in cars like Cadillacs and audis they are 6000k pure white

Just gonna say, if a bulb has to warm up in order for me to see, it's not worth my money or time to use. My housing is a wee yellow but all I car about is the light ahead, which is white.

Well it's not really like that you just hop in and go you can see right when they turn on but it just gets a little brighter after full warm up

6k is diamond white in or out of projectors I have them for my headlights and my CS/Boss lower valence and both are 6k and both look exactly alike. If you want high quality rubber injected water proof HIDs go to HIDGuy.com they have lifetime warranty. Btw if anyone wants to sell their stock headlights lemme know!

'13+ all come with factory HID standard. So, yes, I have HIDs. There is absolutely no reason to go above 4300k, which is pure white (has a slight bluish hue from projectors). Anything else takes on a pale blue (5000k) deep blue (6000k) and it gets worse as you go up.

I honestly don't notice my lights having a bluish hue most of the time while driving, but it's there. You can tell if you get out and look or if you've seen other '13+ Mustangs with the factory HIDs driving around.

My neighbor has a 13 base. And she has HID. Wish I waited lol it's a little blue tint but this also what my moms camaro looks like as she has HID factory.

I know like 8000 is purple and 3-4000 is mainly yellow. For some reason the 4300 is white and I like the crispness off my lights. I have the halogens btw (just a side note)

Man those headlights must blind oncoming drivers. Not very smart to have HIDs in a halogen housing.

Agreed. Not a personal attack, but I hope folks with that kind of nonsense are cited. That's dangerous.

I took the reflectors out and they are angled down so they don't blind anyone..but I agree anyone with lights these bright should be cited unless they did these precautions

Careful. People like to delete your post when you give them the wrong opinion.

I'm with this guy though.

It is if you say the wrong things to the wrong people. I was issued a warning cause I called the admins asshats once. Wasn't a fun afternoon for me I should say. And my post have been felted by them too. Mainly because of what I said, even thought its an amendment that US soldiers fight to keep.

Anyway, we legit. We cool. We the shiz.

it's not ...however with any forum there are few "bad apples" that like to stir the pot lol. The only time you'll have any mod issues is if you break forum rules.

The house makes the rules though. If you don't like the rules, you have to find somewhere else to play.

Some people need a bit of guidance to be civil, it's not always a bad thing. I'm pretty sure I've gotten a message from the staff myself.

Go extremely off topic, use profanity, speak in a different language, become aggressive, just to name a few
