Darn. Let me clear them out. My bad. Bro. I pulled the trigger early this morning and ordered the one mpt 91 race tune. So its a beast of a tune you and others say. Does there tune shift more firm than the hybrid because the hybrid has sweet firm shifts. Lol. I spoke with Ken this morning and he claimed the low end power and off line torque will be huge.

Lmao! Dude, I feel like I'm cheating and being unfaithful to AM. I swear I need meds. Lmao. Dude, Charlie also raves about MPT tunes as well. I should get the tune via email in 3 days. I certainly will give you a full review compared to the hybrid tune.

Lmao. I'm more loyal to HP! I know I hear everyone say the MPT is more aggressive! I might end up getting one later on for the track!

Once dry, I sanded it all smooth, then painted it black and re-installed. You get the same intake engine noise as an aftermarket CAI, and a sealed filterbox which in my opinion, is a true CAI, as the stock box only gets its air from the front grill; no warm engine air that some aftermarket CAI's allow for.

If you decide to go this route, give yourself a weekend, as the fiberglass will take a few hours to cure, then sanding, then paint (use a spray paint thats made for plastics, such as Krylon Fusion). All in all, you'll have about 25 to 30 bucks invested in your CAI.

I'll try to snap a pic or two with mine; I'm bad at doing this, as my weekends are usually tied up with stuff.
Did you cap off the throttle body when you removed the tube?

It's next on my list to try....I figured I'd go the "91 street" tune first, then move up. Since MPT does not have a "tunes for life" option, I'd try one tune at a time at 75 bucks a pop (the ghost tune is $150.00; a street or race tune plus a useless rough idle).

On my list though. It's win win for me to go the way of MPT; they have a more aggresive custom tune program, plus they are literally in my backyard (Longwood Florida).

The 91 street tune made my eyes pop last Saturday when I took the Mustang for its first try with it. Went for my morning coffee and "moons over myhammy" breakfast sandwich at Dennys, and headed home. There's a stretch of exit ramp highway thats over a mile from Sanford to Lake Mary. No traffic. I hit it, and the car lit like it was stolen!Slammed into 2nd (chirped the rears; I have an automatic!), and climbed to the speed limt in a few seconds. I got off of it quick though. I'll have to get this Mustang to the track soon to see how it does.

I don't have the budget (yet) to buy a Boss. That was certainly my dream Mustang, but with a son fresh out of college (almost have that bill paid off) and a niece that is getting ready to finally move out (she too just finished college; stayed with us for 4 years as it was close to her school), I just might have the cash to buy a good used one.

I think you may have read my post wrong (or I wrote it wrong), as I do not have the desire to buy the ghost cam tune from anyone that makes one. I will move to the race tune from MPT though. That was what I meant by "on my list though".

I know you did. I cleaned up (corrected) my previous post to explain what I meant by "on my list"...it was not the ghost cam, but rather the 93 race tune. Thoughts in my head sometimes get garbled when they reach the fingers at the keyboard.

Not a fan (most see this from other posts) of a ghost tune. The extra 75 bucks they get for it easily buys a second tune that actually does something in the way of performance.

But I digress. I can see the coolness of a rough idle.

I'd really like to have a Boss....someday, some day.

That would be torture my friend...I'd then have to go home depressed.

Last Christmas, I drove by a Car Nation car lot, and there was a Kona Blue Boss. I turned to my wife and asked her if I was getting that for Christmas. She smirked and said "sure thing honey". A few days later it was gone.

Christmas day, it was not under my tree. Sigh.

Attachment 121413Got that too, plus the splitter for the lower front; just need to order the Boss valance. Have the "C" stripes (without the Boss badging of course) and the hood cowl in black. On the back side, I have a GT500 spoiler, and a GT500 lower valance, with the GT500 exhaust.

A little of all the best the Mustang has to offer.

My friends Sixxer with nitrous beat a big bad boss ^_^ he used 75 shots and slicks and so many more mods. The boss had a coil over kit, CAI and running the track key thats it. Im sure if it was tuned with a O/R Xpipe the boss would either win or be right on his ***!
