Gears, STS, Intake, Tune and good tires can net 13.3 easily.

Mine has the stock 2.73 gearing. I'm going to change to the 3.31. I'm doing the 3.31 to be able to keep a factory tune and because I drive a ton of highway miles.

This guy ran a 12.9 with his 2012 Mustang Manual.

1st NA 2011+ Mustang 3.7 V6 in the 12's!! - YouTube

His mods are:

C&L CAI
Bama 93H tune
BBK LT's with matching O/R X-pipe
Flowmaster 'Force II' axleback with a set of stock '11 GT resonators welded in (to tame the sound)
3.73 gears
J&M LCA's
Shaftmasters aluminum driveshaft
Steeda shifter
Spec Stage 1 clutch, 17" Race Star wheels, M&H bias ply front tires and 26x11.5x17 M/T ET Street bias ply rear tires.

This guy probably dropped 3.5-4 grand on everything to do this.

Then the same guy ran a 12.63 with the same mods but with suspension modification.

Lund Racing tunes the fastest 2011+ NA 3.7L V6 Mustang at 12.63 in the Quarter Mile - Lund Racing

Its easy to drop 3 to 4k in mods. It adds up quick. I spent like 3k in my mods

Yeah it is lol. I know that from experience. My IS300 has over 12k in mods. But running a 12.63 on a NA 6 cylinder mustang is impressive.

Makes no sense to me. NHRA uses 1.6 conversion which would make you 14.49. The chart I saw used 1.56 which puts you at 14.12. But like I said a conversion chart makes no sense. Gears are going to make a difference too on top of torque band.
I know It's not exact but I've looked up a lot of time slips for the 3.7 & looked at everything (1/8/1/4/mph/ 60'/300') & tried to match them up with mine & I got a 13.7 most of the time. I didn't use other cars time slips just the 3.7.

Just curious but does anyone know what typical 1/4 mile times are a complete stock automatic 5.0 getting? It has the 3:15 gears in them.

Only the manuals 5.0s come with 3.31 stock. The track pack gets 3.73 and the automatic gets like 3.16 or something like that.

Haha, right. Plus the automatic cost like an extra 1500$! What a rip off! But everyone has there reasons for getting an auto, and I respect that.

I think its pretty stinky that Ford only puts 3:15 gears in the automatic. If I'm not mistaken I believe one can't even upgrade to 3:55 or 3:73 gears from ford with an automatic. The track pack is for manual transmissions only if I'm not mistaken , so the auto is stuck with 3:15 gears which is crazy for a 420 HP car with 390 torque.

I test drove an automatic 2013 5.0 and was very disappointed in the off line acceleration. It wasn't bad but just not what I had expected from a car with 420 HP. The 5.0 needs at least 3:55 gears. and 3;73 would be awesome.

I believe you can do a gear swap, and as long as they're FRPP gears and you get it done at a dealer it's covered by warranty

Damn 15k with those miles is a great deal. I wonder how much I could get for mine with only 13k miles...

From a long talk with auto vs manual 5.0. This is what I eventually came up with.

3/4 of a second is possible not one second with mod under $900. Gears with the CAI and tune can do it. The CAI and Tune will drop .4 to .5 easy. AM dropped .4 with a tune alone watch the video. Add 4:10 gears and the 3/4 of a second is in reach no problem. CAI and tune $600 4:10 gears with install kit $250. So for under $900 3/4 quarters of a second is obtainable with the right driver. That's assuming you have stock 2:73 gears before mods as most of the V6's do.

Heck, with my 3k in mods I should be able to easily run a 13.1 or 13 flat 1/4 mile. Lol

I would do slicks if I were serious about racing, but I just go to the track maybe once every 3 months or so just to dick around. Nothing serious.

You can get some Nitto's or Mickey Thompson street comps. Good medium between.
