1pc aluminum driveshaft

Just installed the aluminum driveshaft, getting an occasional clank when I quickly accelerate after a quick braking, and also hearing an occasional whine. I also installed 3.73 gears before the driveshaft and didn't notice the whine before.

Also, is the spacer really necessary on the front safety loop? When the spacer is in there isn't much threading on the crossmember studs showing and am worried that there isn't enough thread for the nuts to screw onto and will eventually loosen off. I applied locktite in the nuts before tightening on the studs.

There was a video I just saw recently about torquing the flange correctly and making sure it's in properly fitting while torquing. It was on a 08 GT put I'm sure there's not much difference between the years. And he mentioned it would effect the rear end as well.

He mentions it around 8:20.

Ya. It's different than what we have but Im thinking the processes is about the same. Hope this helps getting down to the problem you have!

Give us some updates. I've been wanting one also. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
