The 2013's and newer are 5.8's for GT500's. Mustangs are 3.7, 5.0 and 5.8 displacements now.

I'd be surprised if the 3.7 doesn't last a good while. It's less than 5 years old as a platform V6. While ecoboost seems to be a big deal, there's a lot to be done with NA engines. Especially if they modify them to receive GDI enhancements. I want to see what ecoboost engines are like after 150k miles.

My guess after reading all the rumors is something like a 2.3 4-cyl turbo at around 280hp, and they'll wring more hp out of the current engine options. No way imo will the 4 out perform the 6 even if the hp is comparable due to the torque and gearing of the 6. I expect the 3.7 to be around for a while due to the relative newness and dependability of it. I'd expect a solid 33 mpg out of the ecoboost 4.

I think the torque will be nice on the eco with the turbos I guess we will see. I love the look of the current mustangs not so much the 15 concepts I've seen. IRS does sound nice though

Well, usually the finished product looks more practical than concepts, so hopefully they mello out the '15s.

That 3.7 motor is built to last. Its a solid engine from what I've read and can take a beating. Just do routine maintenance on it and run the balls out of that engine and it will last for 200k miles.

Why you say that? Change that oil every 5 to 7500 miles. Make sure the other fluids are good to go and that engine will last. The mustang can take a beating. Heck, there built for that. Those 3.7 motor is a strong engine . Lol

Freaking love it. Its a beast. I'm getting 26 mpg highway doing 70 mph. It chips at 70 mph in 3rd gear. I'm really glad I got it. I still use my hybrid tune as well.

Maybe you should make it to where the single turbo can be modified for twins later down the road
