Spoiler question

Hey guys!

After finishing the exhaust I'm looking at getting the GT500 exhaust from AM however my car didn't come with a spoiler. I'm definitely not confident enough to drill out the two holes myself so do you think going to the dealership and asking them to drill the holes would be wise?

How have others with the base pkg added a spoiler?

Thanks!

I installed a painted gt 500 spoiler myself with no previous spoiler already on the car. Its a little tricky getting it centered because the screws for the spoiler go into the spoiler from inside the trunk up. Makes for exact location a pain! It would have been a lot easier if the screws were in the spoiler going down through the trunk.

You can get some studs to resolve that. Or you can cut a few extra screws to make aligning "pins". Just cut the heads off and screw them in enough. Wrap them with tape to prevent scratches.

Thats essentially what I ended up doing. I put 4 dowel pins in the holes and put a dab of red paint on the end, positioned the spoiler where I wanted it then set it on the trunk. Once that was done I had 4 dots on the trunk, verified there position with a tape measure, and drilled them out.
