Gear break-in question.

I'm going to go 3.73s very shortly but I might have a problem. The garage I'm going to is two hours away to get it done and I'm worried about the highway driving on the way back. There really is no way I can do the proper heat cycle for the break in. Any suggestions? The reason I'm going so far is because I'm getting a free install.

You didn't worry about that when you brought it home from the dealer, right? When I had my gears done, I had 33 mpg indicated on the dash. The gear man took it out to test it after install. Came back with 19mpg indicated. I don't think he worries about break in. I drove a little over an hour on the interstate after the install. I would not worry one bit.

Just drive in the slow lane and baby it, you'll be fine. Do 55 if you can get away with it. People will go around you.

I drove a death trap of a vehicle home on the freeway doing 50. I'm sure you'll be fine bahaha.

To be honest I was thinking the same thing. My car had 25 kms on it when I drove it home from the dealer and all is fine. I just want to be sure I'm doing it right that's all.
