gear oil

so i thought since i was getting the swapped out they would include oil but they said they dont the shop told me to bring your owe oil so now im suck with what gear oil do i get??

I bought mine from my local Ford dealer. 3 quarts and a 4oz bottle of friction modifier. If you have the factory rear end cover like i do, it holds around 2 and 1/3rd quarts with the 4oz of friction modifier. I've changed my rear end lube 4 or 5 times myself. just saying.............

I use RP. As to what weight, depends on if you track the car or not. If not, then use what is recommended in your ownwers manual for quantity and weight recommendations.
