Off road x pipe vs Catted X pipe.

So I have a 2011 mustang with magnaflow axle backs. Im getting BBK headers and am wondering sould I get a off road x pipe or catted?..I live in California but know guys to pass smog so ots not a big deal. My question is which setup would sound less ricer and more deep.. I know I cant get V8 sound but I dont want it to sound like a four banger..

Longtubes x pipe and some good quieter mufflers will sound good. Go catless for sure.

I was behind a Dodge pickup the other day that had an awesome sound. I assumed it was a Hemi. No, it was a six with cheap glasspacks. Unbelievable.

Can be very expensive in California if your caught without cats. You get pulled over, you will know your in trouble when an officer pulls a little handle with a mirror on it.

Yeah, better off just getting the high flowing cats and call it a day.

Well I just installed the BBK Headers, Catted X pipe, and magnaflow axlebacks.. Sounds great less than 3800k rpm but after that it sounds....dare I say "hondaish"... Is there something I can do to make it sound better at full throttle? Would a different set axlebacks make it sound better? Also I can't believe how loud this set up is and thankfully I chose a catted rather than a off road X pipe..

Get some Resonators/Glasspacks welded into ur OTA pipes & I'll sound WAY better!

Ok ill look into that...but on a side note today I raced a 2006 SRT8 300 and 2008 G35 and 2005 350z and smoked them by miles.. regardless of sound these upgrades were the best idea.. 2006 SRT had intake and tune. I have intake tune and headers...not bad for a v6!!

Long tubes off road x and gt500 ab's. if you have roush ab's suggest you go catted unless you don't mind rasp.
