Ford Racing 3.73 Installation package

Hey guys I just got in the mail my 3.73 gears install kit so i can get done. Guy named Nitrous Pete quoted me for 400 for the work he seems really reputable, my only problem is i don't see a out or inner pinion bearings in the kit and thats some bull****. for an install kit it should come with everything so my question is how would I get those, and I need my car tuned for 3.73 I have a Bama 93 Tuner from SCT and I was wondering if they're one of those gay people who lock out that option. Some light on the issue is greatly appreciated guys Ty for your time long live American muscle.

If you purchased your gear kit from AM and before adding it to cart, you should have selected the 8.8 gear pinion on that same page above the add to cart button. If you did, it's an addition $59.99. If you paid for it, your need to make that call. If not and you only paid 279.99 before forum discount, then you need to purchase it. Search the page for 8.8 pinion gear

As far as the tuner is concerned, did you buy it from AM for your Mustang?

When you call Bama for a tune, be sure to refer to them as "one of those gay people who lock out that option".

I'm sure that will get you quality service you deserve.

The tuner i actually got from a buddy who used it for his old 2001 mustang GT all i did was call SCT and had the tunes swapped it costed like 150 so it was a good option instead of buying a 3-4 hundred dollar tuner, and i see that pinion thing now, and no i dint do that good call fellas, my mechanic told me hed charge me 26 bucks for the inner pinion idk if he has the outer but well see. Tuner is from AM, so are gears

That's the correct one and for half the price of what AM charges for that inner bearing. If the $150 you paid for is for tunes for life, you are good to go. Just contact Bama for what you need

all great replys and helpful. But now another issue arises. i dropped it off today geares went in they're quiet nothing crazy, but the tuner is locked. Do i just call bama to resend the tunes with options to change gear ratios or will they give me a hard time? And yes i have the 150 plan for tunes for life.

It sounds like you got everything figured out with the gears. On the 2011 + Mustangs you HAVE to change the pinion bearing or it could cause damage to rear. If you need us to get you one shipped out, hit up my CS team and they'll help you out!

As far as the tune goes, we do lock all parameters. However, you do have free tunes for life so we can gladly make any adjustments for you. Just give the Bama team a call and let them know you swapped your gears. They'll make some adjustments to your tune and get you a replacement shipped out!

I hope this helps. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!
