It depends on the tuner. I have the SCT model 3015 tuner and it can store up to 10 tunes. I currently have 3 Bama tunes and 1 MPT tune stored to it with plenty of room for more tunes.

It's a SCT tuner not a Bama tuner. Bama just puts the tunes on the tuner and a little sticker obviously

Yes, you can load tunes other than a Bama tune onto that device. The Bama Tuner is just an SCT SF3 device.

Is there a reason why you're looking elsewhere? If there's something about your tune that you don't like, just let me know and we'll make some adjustments for you! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

A really useless tune, IMO. Good for one thing: making a larger void in your wallet.

It doesn't. You can get a ghost cam tune from MPT and load it up fine with your SCT tuner.

No offense but since ppl just don't get some things. You can not get a ghost cam tune from Bama. But you can get a ghost cam tune from another company and put it on your SCT tuner and your car.

It doesn't matter that Bama doesn't offer one, I was just letting you know that they don't offer it.

I think that is why he was asking if he could get a MPT tune and use it with that tuner, because Bama doesn't offer it for his car...

Ok lemme just clear it. The SCT tuner holds 10 tunes now instead of 3? Meaning a collection persay. You can order the one off AM tuner and get the free tunes for life. Kinda cool and a good sturdy backup. Then I can get an aggressive MPT tune and cam tune. That's kinda cool too. I'd use a cam tune for shows, and a 93 octane tune for everyday use. All in all, I gotta get a tuner first to go any further exhaust or engine wise.

I also have the sct bama tuner from AM and have been running a MPT tune for over a month now. You load the tune up the same way you would the bama tunes. They all work the same way for the install. Hope this helps

The MPT is crazy awesome and like it the best! With that said I also like Bama tunes very much and would highly recommend getting them along with a MPT. That way you have more of a variety of tunes to choose from on a regular basis. Buy your tuner from AM because they are awesome!

The biggest power and acceleration gains will be from MPT! Its a beast of a tune.

Anyone ever do a dyno pull of a Bama and MPT tune back to back?

I'm just curious how aggressive MPT goes with their tunes. From what I have heard, Bama does a good job but they keep their tunes a bit reserved.

Alright, we can definitely look into this for you. Shoot me a PM with your order number and I'll have a Bama tuning specialist give you a call directly! We can make some small tweaks to your current tune to get the idle dialed in. We can also hook you up with the Hybrid tune, I think you'll really enjoy this file! The Hybrid tune is a mix between the Street, Performance and Race tune. You'll have the low end Grunt of the Street tune, mid range of the Performance tune and all out performance of the Race tune.

Unfortunately, at this time we don't offer the Cam idle tune for the 2011+ V6's. If we do start carrying this tune for the Six, you guys will be the first to know!

I can also clear up the fact that SCT devices now can store 10 tunes. Any device that has an XP-based serial number (opposed to 2008-prior X3-based serial numbers), with the latest update will be converted to 10 tunes. Now, this update was developed over 2 releases; so the first part was implemented during FW 1.2.151 but was non-functional (it only visually added those slots). In the FW 1.2.154 it was fully implemented and functional. The point being, if you did a ‘recent’ update in the last few months and it’s still not there, make sure they have run an update within the past couple of weeks and it will be available.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, feel free to hit me up.

-Dan
