The stock cats are not at all high flow. If you look inside one it is extremely restrictive.

That's why I was about to ask, I thought it was only bbk that made a high flow x besides mrt who makes a H.

Thanks for the info, I have not had the chance to look inside one of my cats, I could always replace the cats to high flow cats later down the road, I believe that would still be cheaper than purchasing BBK xpipe. Not sure if I would see a performance gain from it, maybe slightly top end, but I may also loose some back pressure/low-end torque.
What do you think?

When I had my resonators cut out I could see inside the stock cats since they are so close together and it was filled with what looked like a mesh filter. It was nowhere near straight through.

I have put on a h pipe since then. The gains are there for sure. So much so that passengers in the car can feel it too. It is also much louder and raspier though. Some resonators will need to go in to replace the cats.

Lethal performance h pipe. It's catless . There were no noticeable torque losses at all, just gains mainly, when paired with the shorty headers. I can accelerate from 35-70 in 6th gear from 1000 rpm and keep up with the flow of traffic easily.

Here's a rev of the car with the cats off. As you can see it is much louder and much less refined. The borlas help that somewhat but still very loud. I have grown to like the sound and think it sounds insane at full throttle. And its not as raspy as other catless setups I've heard. Those shorties really help the rasp
