I'm looking into these prochargers and they seem to be reliable and a great addition. But with me having a gto supercharged I know from experience my son hates the loud squeals. I wated a few YouTube vids to see if I could measure the sound. Some sound a bit stealthy. But most sound pretty noticeable even with thehood closed. So my question to you is what's your thoughts or experience with the sound volume of a supercharger. I'm not expecting stock sounds. But I'm not looking for loud belts and sounds ofbad bearings either
Was just browsing through some threads and this caught my attention. Did you ever buy the procharger for your son? If so, I'd love to know how its going in his v6 because I might be buying myself a porcharger in the near future.

What year stang do you have? If it's a 13 or 14 what fabrications did you have to do in order for it to fit?

I was looking into turbos for a few weeks and the main reason why I would get the Procharger is because I can install it with some friends, turbo, I don't think we could lol

^i might be your first customer if it puts out more hp per lb of boost than the procharger while still maintaining safety!

I'd love to know how much power you're putting down at what psi when it's installed

If you sell your procharger let me know. I need boost. I am interested in the turbo depending on cost as well.

Well we are gonna try to match the prochargers 8psi at 6psi but try to make at least 100 more tq than the Procharger.. already basically know we will make more HP just trying to make sure the tq is better! Well technically you would be the second already have a down payment

OK, here is what I need to know. Has ANYONE put in a procharger in a 2013-2014 Auto V6? They do not offer it for sale that I can find out and I am told you cannot get the 2011-2012 inter cooler to fit the 2013-14; much less a kit for an auto, manual only?

I bought a V6 thinking a Supercharger was available in the future for me, as that is more interesting than the everyone has a GT at a Mustang meet or local car show. (I saw the 2011-2012 ProCharger 11 sec ads)

The currently sold single turbo system is out for me; due to the mounting issues previously mentioned when I had a local home brew turbo guy look at the system for advise. It will still be a 3 season daily driver. Older mustangs with Procharger and Vortec in my city are fine 3 season daily drivers

Thanks for the info, but what did you have to change\ for the intercooler; and did you have a way to get a starting tune into it to drive it to a dyno? Or did you put it on in your own shop where you had a dyno already to go? If it was easy, why is Progharger not listing it for sale for 2013-14 autos?

I didn't change anything only made myself an intake! They just gave me the base tune its all the same from car to car! Well I was their test car I sent them picture and install and what they could fix, and they don't care mustang Procharger is not a big seller

Thanks, that is of value. So where is all the info than that the 2011/12-inter-cooler will not fit in the different nose of the 2013-14s? If you changed nothing, and you were their "test car"; then it could be they sent you a prototype 2013/inter-cooler that they don't have in production currently?

The intercooler did fit fine nothing was wrong with it. They sent me their kit and told me to send any info back that was wrong and if it wouldn't work. I'm telling you they don't care they make enough sales elsewhere and they aren't planning on making anything new especially sense 13/14s are buying them anyways

Is it true that you have to drill a hole in the crank shaft?

Yes you do have to drill one its not mandatory unless you are really making huge horsepower but it never hurts to do it

No just have to take your radiator out and make sure you blow out the hole a lot as you drill

Do you still have true dual exhaust with a H-X pipe with the Single Turbo Kit you are working on?

Our V6s while having HPR are lacking the TQ of the older motors and newer V8s. A supercharger generally as a sales FAQ advertises low end TQ from the very beginning of a launch due to the belt drive. Turbos need to spool up,and why some newer factory turbos use dual sequential turbos for quick spool up at the Low end.

Is your kit for low end spool up or high end finish line, or can be customized to either with different Snail sizes and waste gates? I am more interested in low end TQ boosting the V6 then high end autobahn top speed.

No it will have a new manifold and cross pipe so there won't be a need for long tubes or anything.

Well I had a Procharger and it didn't really give me a ton of low end or like sit you back in your seat or anything.

Yes turbos have to spool but depending on sizing it will come it incredibly fast. The way we sized them it's going to spool at about 2500 and pull peak tq and horsepower after that. Plus we will give the option of a spool valve so it would spool even faster.... but you can also brake boost which eliminates spool time which you cannot do with a Procharger
