Drone issues.

With my new flowmaster 40's welded in I have a serious drone problem. Less than my roush and pypes but it's deeper. Sounds like a stock GT honestly but the drone from 1-3 gear around 2K and at 80 mph. What can I do to lessen drone. Love my tone and the depth of them. Not like the force 2 kit. Took resonators out also that were 22". I also have 4 in roush tips welded on but I think with different tips they will sound better on a 2 chamber muffler. Any ideas besides that to reduce the drone? Gear swap maybe?

Have two glass pack aka resonators welded on and that will greatly reduce the interior drone. Works great. it should cost you no more than $100 for this install and purchase of resonators.

I'll sell you my two factory resonators off my '13 GT, $50 shipped. They'll be exactly what you need.

Well that's just it, I had the 18" resonators in when I had my stuff welded in. The drone was louder. Took them out and it made no difference but gave the exhaust a better tone.

.

What's the ID/OD of the stock GT resonator? I'm looking for 2.5" ID/OD. This may fix my rasp issues.

Heres an explanation of why you are gettin the drone. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helmholtz_resonance

Just regular resonators wont eliminate it. If you want it gone you should look into helmholtz resonators. Not sure where you can get them from tho.
