400rwhp NA?

Is that possible in the 3.7s? If so what would be needed? Haven't seen anything really on this, I know you probably need a CAI, tune, LT headers, O/R Shorty X pipe, Catback exhaust, gears (although they don't really give you more hp...), and what else?

I think it might be possible with very deep pockets, but you might lose some driveability

Very very deep pockets, you are sitting on about 260rwhp as it is right now. Going to be tough to get another 140 to the wheels without going FI. Those bolt ons will only give you a tiny bit, you need to dig into the engine to get those types of numbers.

400whp is not possible with anything that even resembles the original 3.7. I would guess 330 - 350whp would be the absolute most a fully built 4.0 bore/stroke combo with good heads and cams would be capable of.

IF you want 400whp NA, swap in a 5.0 or LSx, it would be cheaper and easier.

It's true. I would bet an LSx swap into an 11+ Mustang V6 would be cheaper than swapping in a 5.0.

Also, in doing that you could rid yourself of the MT82 and go T56.

No. Not possible. Not even close. I dyno 297 rwhp on my 2011 3.7 and short of a throttle body, I have every other bolt on power mod. No way 400 rwhp N/A on the 3.7 motor.

You need boost for that

Understandable. Im biased against gm. Wouldnt even use a chevy vehicle to take to the pits to beat on cuz it probably would break down on the way. Hahahah. Half the dudes building them are ****tered or messed on some kind of narcotic. I know quite a few people that have worked there an they said the quality and worksmanship is shyte.

Infact just a few weeks ago my buddy had his turbo blow right off his motor in his new duramax.

Guess which engine makes more power?
Which engine is lighter?
Which is cheaper to build?

I prefer to keep my Mustang with a Ford heart, but I do love the LS base. We just have the best of both worlds

Although gm has improved in quality recently, (not much of a choice if they still wanted to sell cars) they are mid to lower pack on the "quality" food chain.

The reason I like LS engines (still hate the actual cars, except corvette) is that they are smaller, lighter, and much cheaper/ easier to build.

Id love to have an LS engine but I can't put one in a Mustang. If I ever do a swap it will be a 5.0 (or whatever the GT of that year has)

Ya I thought it would be challenging, but I didn't know if someone down in Florida has made a beastly NA 3.7.

I actually like the newer Camaro SS though..., but not so much driving it

The camaro is nice, but the interior is a mess and is very hard to see out of.
