New Exhaust!

So I just got my Stang and I've been looking into getting an exhaust, I want it to be nice and loud. What are some good exhaust and do they add any power or all just for show?

Thanks in advanced guys.

Although I do not have them every time the roush exhaust comes up people say it is loud every time. However there is a drone at higher rpms.
Since you want loud that might be the way to go. I will say though that reviews for Borla's exhaust is generally more positive but I don't think it is quite as loud. It just offers more of a grumble.

Yeah I have been hearing alot about Roush and that it's really loud. I'm not to worried about the drone I tend to find a bit of comfort in hearing it.

There are hundreds of posts here on exhaust. Grab a beverage, click the search, type "exhaust", and be prepared to read through the posts.

Most aftermarket Mufflers will not pass the visual when you smog it. Any straight through design is kinda a nono in Cali, so make sure you keep the stockers and are able to put them on.

If you want some power gains get a catback, itll add a few ponies. Axlebacks are just for show. You got lots of reading/video watchin ahead of you. Happy hunting!

You want loud with a good sound

Magnaflow Comps My friend Tony put them on his 2012 3.7 V6 and they are very loud when he gets on the throttle but still sound pretty nice going around town.
Still to loud for my taste but it ain't my Mustang.

Go with Flowmaster Force II axle back exhaust. Sounds great in my opinion. Of course I'm biased because that's what I have.

Dude, get borla touring/s-type with a CAI if you want your car to sound like a mustang, with lots of deep grumble. Anything uber loud with lots of drone is prolly an equivalent of riced up fart canons in a lancer in my opinion lol just giving my opinion..not hating or judging the ones who have other exhausts

Naw man. Go with Flowmaster exhaust systems. They have a great deep tone homey that was really designed for the mustang.

I like my setup. Very loud and aggressive with no rasp or buzziness at WOT. It overpowers the phone mic because of how extremely loud it is though.

Yea it is a bit louder from the headers but deeper and smoother too. Before the catless h pipe it was a lot smoother and refined. That video was taken right when I put it on so the sound has mellowed out some. Here's a rev with the pipe broken in a bit about 500 miles. I have a drive by to. But I would really recommend Borla stingers if you want a deep smooth sound with no rasp. I have had magnaflow streets, roush, straight pipe, and the Borla. The Borla I added the headers too and it sounded very very nice. I have a video of that too.

I did the lethal h pipe for gains. That's the only reason I would recommend it.

Oh I see I've been thinking about headers this only encouraged me. Before I saw this your vid I was really leaning towards roush but I'm loving your set up. But what didn't you like about the roush axel back? What made you change?
