Exhaust question/concern

So I'm deciding between roush and magnaflow axle back. I'm all considering once installing them getting resonators, my question is with the resonators would it still pass smog? Or at that with the exhaust swap would it pass smog?

Thanks in advance guys!

Magnaflow streets

With the streets you don't need resonators and it will pass the smog test. It will also sound and look great.

Get a 16 inch resonator. 18-22 is too big and will sound like a Honda fart cannon. Trust me, I had the 18" which was 22" total and it sounded like dump.

They will pass smog as it's just adding another muffler essentially

Really? I've seen on YouTube a vid with a roush exhaust and 18" resonator and it sounds great! What exhaust do you have?

I had the roush with resonators. It's sounds good on camera. But in person it's so deep that it has no tone.

Here is when I had them. Resonators already installed.

I have roush and added resonators, 22". The resonators came out the following day. It quieted down so much it made it pointless to buy a loud axel back! If you plan on adding resonators to a roush setup just don't get the roush, there are many other choices out there that would be more to your liking.

Good point, I was just curious because I heard the resonators eliminate the drone

They actually made it worse! I had a hour and a half highway drive back from my bros garage where I got them put on and it was significantly worse!

No resonators, welded custom flowmaster 40's with the roush tips.

Drive by/ revs

Notice the camera shows that patented flowmaster design pushing air out. Actually adding torque. Much happier with these. They drone but what exhaust doesn't? These shake the ground and your chest on startup. Super deeper. Deeper than any axleback you can buy. Definitely get a chambered muffler for that throaty sound.

Oh hell no. I tried straight through and turbo resonators. Resonators tone down the tone. If anything they make it louder. Even the stock exhaust drone, it's just because the axlebacks are in the very rear. If they were in the middle of the car, more depth and less drone.
