Dang, I'll take whatever had the Voodoo twin turbo engine. Please let it be a Boss 302 or 351, or Mach 1. Shelby is ok, but had it's run with the S197's. I'd still buy it if it had Shelby on it...

That's a Scion... And... Oh no u didnt compare a stang to a 1/2 cylinder pint sized pocket rocket (even if it does ride like it was on rails and handles really well...).

Besides, the only resemblance I see is the rear windows and... The red color

This car is awesome! Idc what anybody else says. That body is gorgeous. 300lbs lighter!! I can live with the same power output with the weight reduction. I am pleased with this render. They just need to do something about the manual gearbox.

In my opinion, the New Edge (99-04) design is/was the best of all late model Mustangs...hopefully they don't F-it up. Regarding engine options, the current 5.0 V8 will have more power but will remain largely unchanged in the base (volume) GT. The big news is the rumored flat plane V8. This engine will reside in the new Mach 1/Boss 302 or 351 as a naturally aspirated unit. It will also be twin turbocharged and will replace the current trinity V8 in the GT500. The emphasis on the MY2015 car is driving dynamics (handling) as well as fuel economy and the Trinity V8-being supercharged-is not only heavy but carries that weight on top affecting handling. The MY2015 car also has a lower hood line and having a big honking supercharger on top is a design constraint--especially if aftermarket tuners add a bigger unit, they will need a high cowl hood. A higher hood line also affects aerodynamics which directly affects fuel efficiency. With turbos there is more flexibility with tuning, weight distribution and fuel economy and of course design. I guess we'll see in a few months. A flat plane V8-turbo or not-is pretty exciting stuff!! Cross your fingers....
Yeah the head lights and fog light do not match this might be close but this is not the 2015 mustang

You're not going to see much in December...most likely online teaser shots until the official reveal at the New York Auto Show...remember what Chrysler did with the Viper and GM with the Vette--same thing. For now, unless there is a legit leak, all we have are the spy shots....

Subaru brz and that Scion frz look very similar too. My buddy has a BRZ with nothing but suspension and a few bolt ons. That thing is no joke, he has won more events in that thing compared to his nissans, s2000s, acura.....etc. Either way, I'm not impressed by the body. Its like the odd child, kinda like the 2010 is.

Blame the hunt for fuel efficiency. There are only so many ways to make a car as aerodynamic as possible.

I wouldn't say it looks awful. It just isn't very special looking. Looks...boring.

They overhyped it. The expectations are already too high. Probably engines, IRS and performance is their only chance to wow us.

We may be seeing renderings and spy photos of the base model. In every generation the base model was kinda plain ( except for the fact that it was a Mustang) the GT, Shelby, Boss, Mach, Roush, Saleen's, may just be jaw droppers. I say what we have seen so far is an awesome base car just waiting for us to mod the F out of them.

Not a fan, not like I was when I first saw a true release of the 2010 body. Or even the 2005 body... I dunno I kind of can't wait till it comes out to see what it does to getting a used 2011 as far as price goes. If I can get a 2011 Coyote with low miles in mint condition for the mid $teens after this releases... that is the car to get...

That won't happen for the next five years. The lowest I see a mint 2011 going for after the 2015 release is 22-23k

Good because I don't like it. It's probably somewhat close but I remember when the 05s were coming out there were some "official" renderings released that I HATED. Still not a big fan of an unmodified 05-09 frontend but its worlds better than what was previewed in 2003.

I was at the test track today and saw a few putzing around the service drives between the tracks all camo'd up. Didn't get to see any actual runs around the tracks by them but they still managed to sound really nice while going 20mph :p

I'm not going to call it ugly, but the 13 and 14 mustang is a much better
looking car than that picture. The roof line belongs on a Hyundai, and the headlights
look like they belong on a Scion. My 13 will stay in my garage for a very long time.
Not to be outdone, Chevrolet has been busy uglyfying the Camaro as well. As for
the Mustang, 2015 is a redo of 1974 in my opinion.

I forget if it was this forum or another one... pretty sure it was another one I said I was afraid the 2015 Mustang would be this generation's Mustang II. I so hope I am wrong but I dunno. Value of the 2011-2014s might go UP if the 2015 sucks.

on the bright side, at least Chevy screwed their Camaro refresh up, and also, go to Mustang6G for a CGI render of the 2015 V6, looks a lot better in CGI than a regular render

Chevy effed the Vette up too which I did not think was possible. I mean when Chrysler is making a more attractive lineup of vehicles than you are you have SERIOUS issues.
