The *** end is where they ruined the Vette too. I rode behind one for a good 20 miles the other day on the highway. Wanted to puke.

The stingray looks cool for a sportscar, but it's sucks as a vette. They screwed it up.
I'm afraid that's what happens to the mustang. A cool car, but not a mustang.

I think the front in the profile view kind of looks like a new 3 series. I'm not really sold on what I've seen so far. Speaking of ugly rear ends, I rode behind a newer Camaro today for a bit and it ugly as all hell!! I just don't get the styling at all.

This isn't it but it might as well have been.

You know when a dog has those eye stains running down its nose? That's what the rear of the new Vette reminds me of.

Maybe I'm just not enough of a Ford/Mustang slappy, but I'd give my low-hanging left nut for a Stingray. They took as much of a leap forward in the design as I was hoping the Mustang would have. However, don't take that as bashing the '15 Mustang, but I do feel that if this is close to the final design they may have played it a bit safe for all the Mustang loyals out there.

Not digging the headlights nor the lack of separate side windows in back. If you are going to change it so little, was hoping for something much different. Bought my 2014 GT instead of waiting any more. Will I be disappointed I doubt it.

Honestly when I saw it, I thought of the Subaru BRZ & Scion FR-S like Langer1099 pointed out.
A 4 cyl turbo Scion clone. They might as well give it paddle shifters and an oem fart can too.

Then you both need your eyes checked IMO. Unless something being a coupe makes them look similar, then in that case the thing also looks like my old Grand Prix!

Except for the taillights, it could be close. What year Grand Prix?

I had a 2001. Last few years of the coupe. My old man had it once I started working at Ford but then he came out of the store one day to it surrounded by fire trucks thanks to an engine fire.

I drove an old 98 with the supercharger for about 8 years after 227k miles on it there was so much rust and the engine always smelled so hot I was surprised that didnt happen to mine. Mustang was such a nice upgrade.

Oh god EVERYONE had a "Grand Pricks" or GTP when I was in tech school. And yes they pronounced it like that and every time I hear someone say it like that I have to fight down the urge to just slap them right in the jaw.

IIRC wasn't that movie made right as the 1987 body style came out? Probably the reason it was in there...

And its scary that Foxes can be classics in NJ now at 25 yrs old... almost makes me want to get into a fox for 0 inspections/emissions testing...

I bought my used 2011 GT for $23,999 and it's a 6 speed with the Brembo package and it only had 19K on it.

They are gonna sell a lot of those Mustangs. A modern suspension, new look and more engine options; positions Ford with customers who were looking for more out of a sports coupe than what the current Mustang offers.

Its all going to boil down to weight and what the base V8 offering is and price. I just have this feeling that there is going to be a rush to get into 2015s and prices will tank on the 2011-2014 models. And then its going to start to dawn on ppl who want a beast straight line pissed off looking fast car that the 2011-2014s are the better choice. Termi had a 2 year run, IMO the current Coyote is going to be a 4 year run "Termi".

I just still can't stomach car payments and the cost of full insurance on a newer sports car or I'd be taking a very long and hard look at getting into a 2011/2012 in late 2014/early 2015. My 98 is mine and I pay $20/mo to insure it.

I don't like the headlights or the quarter windows... The roofline and windows remind me of something like a Hyundai Tiburon...

The way I see it, if one goes out and buys a 2015, and then gets pissed when the new engines become available AFTER they tell you this will happen, then you only have yourself to blame, like what happened to the 2010 buyers.

What has opened my eyes though, is the 310 HP 4 banger turbo that will be sold. I won't hold onto my 2011 V6 for long...I'll buy a clean, used, 2014 or earlier GT that gets traded in!

I dunno I think Ford might be shooting themselves in the foot with all the new engines. Getting into a big power V8 might be pricing a lot of ppl wanting a high $20-low $30k GT out of the market. If this is true then the 2015 might be a one off unicorn year that you can get for that price before it rockets up to whatever the new V8 will command in 2016/2017. Time will tell.

Think about it. If you get a 2014 or 2015 GT with the coyote engine, you're getting a 420hp, n/a V8. For the money, you can't beat it---even if Ford tacks on another $2k or $3k to the '15. If you need more power, a couple of inexpensive bolt ons will get you another 30-50hp...add gears and you're laughing...there's a reason Ford only builds the GT500 in limited numbers and charges a premium because not everybody wants or can afford a +600hp screamer...I think as Mustang fans we'll be more than satisfied with the performance....hopefully the 2015 looks as good as the power-trains will allow it to go...
