I like it. Not as radical as a change as I originally thought and you can certainly tell it's a mustang which I like. Still doesn't make me regret buying a 14. However if itcomes off of the assembly line with 500+ that's a different story but unlikely.

Yeah, being able to tell its a mustang is a big thing. and 500hp off the line is basically supercar hp. i wonder what the price will be

You get boned on engines if the article is true. It's the 2010 deal all over again. New body with a 4.6, then 2011 you get coyote. Now it's 50th and same coyote, but in the near future you can get 500hp. Why the hell do they do that? I understand offering other engines in the future, but improved versions of the same 5.0 and V6 should come out with the new body design.

Forged internals would be nice for the 5.0 from factory. Maybe offer a package like the trackpack but offer forged internals. That would be cool and very worthwhile for power hungry people

I'm digging the body work but not the headlights. And really I mean really a 4 banger. Why in all that is holy to Mustang owners and fans would you do that. I understand wanting more mpg but buy a Focus or a Fusion and leave the 2.3 out of the Mustangs. But its sad that that 4 banger well come with more hp then my 2000 sixer did lol.

Thats true. I just don't want to see them RICED out but you see that with some sixxers now. The new eco boost is making good numbers even on a 4.

Such is the advancement of technology. My friend's V6 Camry can keep up with my 'stang. Because it's from 2011 lol. And let's be honest, it's gonna be pretty cool outrunning other cars in a 4 banger.

As for the leak, I don't love the front. It's a pretty front, but it doesn't belong on a Mustang IMO. It'd be like Dodge re-designing the Challenger to look like a Chris Bangle M5. The rest is pretty appealing. IDK, between the power the engine will make and that IRS, I could warm up to the design.

I don't like the front end at all. The rest is just OK.
It's a little more modern and a little less retro. I'm sure it will grow on me over time, but I'll hang on to my '13 for now.

The photo renderings are terrible compared to the spy photo of the car with the camo peeled off. I think the front end on the upcoming looks great and is a modern/revised version if the 99-04--which is pretty slick. My only concern is the taillight treatment. In my opinion, the New Edge (99-04) design is/was the best of all late model Mustangs...hopefully they don't F-it up.

Regarding engine options, the current 5.0 V8 will have more power but will remain largely unchanged in the base (volume) GT. The big news is the rumored flat plane V8. This engine will reside in the new Mach 1/Boss 302 or 351 as a naturally aspirated unit. It will also be twin turbocharged and will replace the current trinity V8 in the GT500. The emphasis on the MY2015 car is driving dynamics (handling) as well as fuel economy and the Trinity V8-being supercharged-is not only heavy but carries that weight on top affecting handling. The MY2015 car also has a lower hood line and having a big honking supercharger on top is a design constraint--especially if aftermarket tuners add a bigger unit, they will need a high cowl hood. A higher hood line also affects aerodynamics which directly affects fuel efficiency. With turbos there is more flexibility with tuning, weight distribution and fuel economy and of course design. I guess we'll see in a few months. A flat plane V8-turbo or not-is pretty exciting stuff!! Cross your fingers....
