Generally, you diverting the exhaust out before it hits the restriction of mufflers, etc. This can be as "simple" as unbolting the exhast pipes, or you can have something as "complex" as an electric switch. Go to Youtube and do a search. There are examples of V6s with cutouts.

The one video I watched had the electrical switch inside the console & he switched while running, but sitting still.

Search using Google to locate cutouts...they are available as a universal type fit, so all you need is the diameter of your exhaust. Then locate a company (again, using the Google search). You'll find your price for the part. Now finding a local muffler shop in your area to weld them in is your last step.

Would borla s types be a good exhaust that's not to much drone especially in the cabin but not too quiet. I heard they a suttee until you really step on it.

Exhaust

I've been doing some research on exhausts, so far my favorite is the GT500 Quad exhuast. I like it because you still get a nice deep sound, not to mention it looks awesome, and from what I've been reading there is no drone in the cabin. It's not particularly loud per say, but it'll definitely draw some attention.

Check out some videos online, even on a V6 it sounds great. It's not loud in comparison to a set of borla ataks or roush, but it won't piss your neighbors off either, lol.

Shelby GT500 Mustang Rear Valance & Exhaust Kit (13-14 All) - Free Shipping DR3Z-17F828-AB||DR3Z-5230-L||DR3Z-5230-M

A little more expensive since you need a new rear valance, but totally worth it in my opinion!

Get the borlas man. You sound like you want them.

Ebay has used quad tip GT500 mufflers, that would be 2013 and newer by the way.

I'm just looking for the roar that won't be there all the time so it's not annoying or drown out the radio

My advice would be to either go to some mustang events in your area and talk to people and hear it yourself or go online and watch videos as well as read reviews.

Oh ya idk about shows but I have seen a red (sorry I don't really know many of the names of colors for new edges lol) supercharged new edge GT, a blue new edge GT with some exhaust upgrades, a 2012 Boss 302, 2014 Shelby GT500, a buddy's 2007 mustang v6 with an aftermarket axle back, a couple modded out Cobras, and one sick 2013 Roush Stage 3. Those are just the ones I've seen in the past couple of weeks.
I didn't even know that there were shows up here lol, i just know about the Derby City Mustang Club
