supercharger?

any of you guys have a intake manifold supercharger ? was looking on u-tube & a stock V6 2013 with a supercharger dusted a 5.0 , ran the 1/4 in like 12 seconds I know they are not cheap like $6,000 , what would Ford do about your warranty ? seems like an easy swap like I said I had a Grand National that wasn't even a good 6 V6 & it was a 13 machine off the showroom floor, some after a little work made it into the 10's & 11' could pull the wheels off the ground !

When you say intake manifold supercharger, i assume you mean a twin screw supercharger? Those are the type that sit on top of your engine...

As for the warranty, if you supercharge your car. Its gone.

And not all superchargers will adapt to every engine. It needs to be made for it, or it will need an adapter, which can sometimes be just as expensive as the supercharger.

Does Roush make a supercharger that we can buy or is it just available on their cars?

Ask them. They have a good tech section that likes to help out. I'm betting anything they produce is for sale.

Ya you can buy them from their website, however they don't make any for the 3.7, and I think they don't plan to.

Not many companies plan to produce superchargers for the 3.7

Which is dumb, since the 3.7 is a beast. But I understand it's new, and they're not sure if the '15 will have one. But I believe it will.

I agree, hopefully if our 3.7s are included in the 15' lineup more companies like Roush will offer them. I'd hate to see these engines scraped in the stang after only a 4 year run.

They'll need to bump it up then (3.7), as it's rumored that the 4 cylinder base engine will be turbo'd, and will put out 320 HP. That's 15 more than our 3.7 V6, so either Ford will "play" some more with the V6, or dump it. I'm thinking it will stay, as they put a lot of research, development, and time into it.

Or maybe it doesn't stay with the Mustang, but gets used in other models. We shall see very soon.

The 3.7 is 95 percent for sure coming back in the 15' lineup, but it still is the v6 mustang and most companies believe that people supercharge the sh*t out of the GTs but don't really supercharge the sixers.

If the four will be around 320hp then I agree with you bucko, ford will need to bump up the 3.7 significantly to stay relevant. If they do scrap the 3.7 it could really spell trouble for all of us with the 3.7 in the aftermarket world. I'd expect not too many companies will continue to offer or advance engine performance parts for an engine that only had a 4 year shelf life. Yikes!

It's not really that..
It's the fact that it's a v6.
Most people that go all out do it with a v8
There are only some of us sixxers that go that far :p

watch u tube & that supercharged 3.7 is something else , even just looking on how it sits in the engine bay says something , its not all cluttered up , plain & simple .......... the car magazines don't even mention it ? Ford has a winner with the 3.7 & yet nothing is being said or done ? I have drove & owned many cars ...the 3.7 could really be a winner with some work I quess electric cars are getting all the attention I think we are seeing the end of an era of performance of the V6 , 305 HP & no one seems to care ? the Chevy didn't really follow up on the Camaro I don't really like it , Chrysler has a few models but heavy & not really selling , count how many pass you ...I quess that's life ....................

I got a supercharged 3.7 and it's no joke. I really hope they don't quit aftermarket for them and hope that ford continues it's existence.

I don't think that they don't make a whipple because it's a v6. They made a whipple for the 4.0, so no one has an excuse NOT to make one for the 3.7. Lol.

Whipple never made a kit for the 4.0. The only roots style is the Xcharger which uses the MP90 (although there is now a conversion for a TVS available).

The 3.7 is quite a bit different from the 4.0. Much narrower between the heads and tight at the fuel injectors. That is why we don't have a positive displacement blower.

This engine would be a beast with a roots style blower.

When I go F/I I'm most likely going supercharger. I'm waiting till 60k miles and than gonna bolt one on. Maybe by then something else will come out. If not the procharger is going on my car. I think a v6 mustang with a nasty supercharger whine that will walk 95 percent of cars on the road will be really fun. I don't get why most procharger guys have the helical cut gears. I wanna hear that supercharger whining, it's one of the sexiest sounds a car can make IMO especially a mustang

Ya I especially lmao when someone complains about how loud the SC is lol. That and the power are what make it a supercharger

Yeah my bad, I meant a roots. I'm not very savvy on superchargers. Thanks.
