In the right corner of the picture on the black part is that a crack in the intake manifold?

If you notice it follows the other mark in the plastic to the right of it

It sure looks like it could be. Follow the line to the backside of the TB, and see if it's separating. Otherwise, it could just be from when they molded the plastic.

hard to tell from that photo you could mix up some soap & water ...spray it on what you think is the crack use like a small glass cleaner bottle make it thick side or you could use a small brush & watch to see what happens ? you will see something if its a crack good luck maybe its just the way the plastic was casted

Another way is to spray some starting fluid onto the crack; if the engine idle increases, it's a crack.

I'm an idiot. After looking at it very closely I believe it's supposed to be there. It matches up with the plastic casting marks on what's around it. Would anybody mind to go check their 3.7 and see if they have the same thing?

Taken from online. I know it's very hard to see, but I can see it on this one too. I guess I've just never noticed it

Woohoo! I had a crappy day yesterday and when I got home I popped my hood cause I picked up a mouse somewhere and he pooped all in my engine bay. Wiring is all good. So I've been busy cleaning all that up. I saw that and got real worried it was a crack

If that mouse comes back, place moth balls around the outside parameter of the car. They hate it and move on.

Good call. Works for other animals too.

A few years ago, every morning I'd have paw prints all over my car. Did the moth ball trick and no more paw prints.
