Tuner help

Ok so I got the bama tuner a while ago and I was wondering with the strategy tune when I mess with that does it tweak the bama tune that I have loaded or does it write a new tune when I mess with that stuff and apply that. Also my buddy has a 95 firebird he bought tuning software online pretty cheap and he can go in and mess with his timing and everything and write his own tune I payed a lot more for this handheld tuner is there a way I can write my own tune or do I have to buy other software just wondering I have 13' v6

You can do very minor tweaks to the bama tunes but nothing that will make much of a difference.

You can not write your own tune on a sct device without their programs. If you are wanting to write your own tunes you will need different software and hardware.

Your friend is "tuning" the equivalent of a piece of wood compared to the vvt 3.7 in your car. He has 4-5 parameters compared to the thousands controlled by your computer. That is why his software was so much cheaper.

I'm just curious what I could do for mine because I helped him write a tune and we gained 20hp to the wheels just from tuning his so I wanted to see what I could do with mine I know the risk of messing something up gets high when you start doing that stuff on your own but I wanted to give it a shot

I wouldn't mess with any of the tables or attempt to write your own tune. This can be very dangerous for your Mustang. I would recommend just sticking to the Custom tune, you'll gain 20+ RWHP from this set up! We've tuned more Mustangs than anyone else in the world and we definitely have every aspect figured out.

Yes he had it on a dyno before and after I wasn't there for either of the dyno runs but he said the tune made it pick up about 20 rwhp.
