Has anybody had any luck with this code? 6 months and I had 0 issues and the last 2 months I have had 3 shops look at it (including ford they said it is because of the extra air from the long tubes etc) but that the car was running fine it is just throwing error codes. No leaks etc.

I've data logged and sent to Bama and to no avail so far. Afrs Etc are all fine. I swapped an o2 sensor and nothing as that what was what fixed it for most others.

The only issue was a rough/surging idle and now it has mostly been fixed since the last tune revisions but it is still throwing the code. The new o2 sensor helped this immensely.

I have a tune started from scratch I will load tonight and see if it trips the code again.

I have to pass emissions (in April ) but I can't even drive 50 miles on any tune without tripping the CEL. This will cause me to fail. I'm waiting to hear back from the shop that did my headers. He kept my mid pipe but I don't know if he still has it. I had no room at the time but I should have went back for it In hind sight. I'm hoping he still has it. He said he was going to hang on to it for me.

If he has the mid pipe I may just go back to stock and sell the lth and carted x I guess. That way I'm just out install and I can recoup some money if I can sell the lth set up.

If I didn't have so much in it I would get rid if it bit right now it's just irritating as nobody can seem to pinpoint what is wrong.

Anyone have any thoughts if they have had this code ?

I love my car and I've made it my own but trying to dial in this dumb code is becoming exhausting.

P219A – Bank 1 Air-Fuel Ratio Imbalance

Here is what I found searching it on two other sites:

From SVT Performance:

1) Mismatched 02 readings (I am paraphrasing). It seems to be a side effect of going catless. Some say that you have to have a leak to trigger this code, but I have none. I clear this code out several times a week. It is getting annoying.

2) Yes, if the intake is leaking on one side, it will cause your short terms to be different from side to side, and you would see that.

3) This happened as soon as I installed the cat delete pipes.

4) some tuners elect to turn down the sensitivity in this area to prevent the codes.

5) I've been getting the same issue on E85, and now and then on gas as well.
I've found on stock vehicles that the DTC is generated by excessive oscillation in the O2S11_CUR (and 21) pids which more often than not is an injector issue.

6) Im thinking the combination of variable cam timing and scavenging(SP) of the long tube headders has something to do with this code.

7) Turned this code off permanently the last time I got a tune revision. Good riddance.

From ModdedMustangs:

1) 2012 5.0 Manual 6 speed Off Road X pipe, Ghost Cam tune, Muffler delete, Steeda CAI. Just threw a CEL pulled over immediately grabbed tuner and got the code "P219A"

2) I would check all vacuum and exhaust connections, just to make sure they are tight.

most likely you have a small exhaust leak that is causing it

3) It's the rear 02 sensors that cause that to throw that code. I had my shop add extenders and have not had a problem since.

Thanks I found those and the ones on AFM. It's just 3 shops found nothing, datalgos now show everything is in spec, and the car is running fine now. There is no loss of power, mpgs, or anything.

The one said above says it's the rears but all others say different. My rears are off and I still throw the code. But I've checked all connections and can't find anything and neither did the shops.

And I have cats too but this code is a Pita on the 5.0 and 3.7 cat or catless apparently and there seems to be no one fix. Some have it just go away and others have tried everything with no luck. Some even say it only comes on in cold weather.

I may see of I can get a smoke test run if I can find one to do it. $100 bucks though at least. That should eliminate the exhaust leak scenario but I would think ford would have checked the connections again.

That would be the last thing I know to try outside of going back to stock if I can still find my mid pipe.

I would check for all exhaust leaks and vacuum leaks. Are you running O2 extensions?

This sounds very odd! I'd like to look into your tune again. Please shoot me a PM with your order number included and I'll the our head tuning specialist look into your tune!
