Time to move on

It's been real and it's been fun. I got the mod bug and blew a bunch of money only to come to the conclusion that I settled when I originally purchased the v6.

Nothing but love for the car and the advice on this side of the forum.

I wanted to wait to see about the 2015 bit I love this body style.

I went from black beauty to big read.

It's been fun.

I'm in the same boat as you. I had a long build list written up for my v6, and then I had an epiphany and decided to use the money to save up for a v8 instead of v6 mods. So hopefully I'll be in a 5.0 by the end of next year

Big Red is looking good!

Yeah except I did my big mod list. I just decided to live and learn. And I got the wife's approval and signed in blood I would not do anything but tint for a long time.

Auto keeps wife happy plus I hate to say it but I really like the auto especially with a tune ( it will happen at some point since I have the trinity and May as well). I think tint will happen for Christmas from her. But basically no "mods". I got addicted on the 6 and lost my a$$. But that's in the past and things are all good. This car has the style I really like plus good suspension and the 5.0 has the power I was craving so I can be content for a long while. I may do a cai but I'm not positive. I think just the tune for throttle and shift points will be more than enough if I even do that. I have a lifetime warranty through the dealer as long as I document the recommended maintainence. *it was free too so that is cool with me.

I did drive a stage 3 manual. That sucker was stupid fast and while I liked going through the gears I didn't miss it all that much. Never got out of 3rd around town. Plus she wanted to drive it today and it made her happy which makes me happy.

The only thing I wish it had was recaros.

My thoughts too so I may try the canned diablo tune and adjust the wheel size after 1k possiBly to see how there tunes feel.. I don't know if anyone tunes for Diablo yet but bama so I think they are my only option.

But that may be to until payoff just for the shift points etc.

Yup and it's a ton cheaper to get them on your car from ford than buying after + install.

So maybe I will resist sitting on them

Why in your opinion?

I got upgraded to the diablo form the itsx junk for free. I like it. The only downside is the lack of tuners for it which will hopefully change from what I can tell. I had to get a copy of windows for my Mac to run it but I can do the sct too if I ever got one. I had the choice of the livewire or trinity and Bama recommended the trinity so I went with it.

I think that it had to do with my sct being crappy and having to have it replaced 2x and other issues made me want to try something new.

Device crapped out on the first one. Then the 2nd one they had no clue what was wrong. It just straight wouldn't load tunes or function at all. So then I got to either step up into the livewire or the trinity. I talked with don who was helping me datalog and he said he preferred the trinity so I took his advice.

It's sweet. I reAlly like it. No regrets other than I know mpt and other tuners don't tube for it.
