Building a Sleeper

HI all,
I have a 2012 V6 Premium with a performance package.
I want to build a sleeper out of it from the engine all the way to the rear.
I want to put a Boiler transmission, replace the axles the nine.
The question is this: Is this going to hurt or improve the car value in the future...
I am thinking about putting in a Coyote engine. I would put in a Trinity if I could put my hands one.

you'll never get your money back out of modding these cars. its just not the same as a 33 Ford hotrod or somethin. sure there's someone out there who will appreciate your work, but finding that person most likely wont happen.

nitrous will be the easiest thing to hide. a little spray and you'll leave a 5.0 in the rear view. big shots=big power.

superchargers, some barely make a sound and you'd never know the difference. big power if you forge the internals and crank up the boost.

i think you said you were going to put in a 9" rear end? no. waste of time. you'll never make enough power to break that 8.8 from your 3.7.(well you could but lets be honest here)

i also just realized you really didn't ask about half of what i've said so far...i shall stop here.lol

Should you just get a 5.0 and change the hood/badges on it? Wouldn't that be way cheaper than what you are thinking?

The only reason to put a 9 inch in is if you were wanting to do quick gear changes, other than that stay with the 8.8.
I had 3 gear ratio's at one time for my 73 Cougar. Made it super easy to change for the occasion.

I like your sleeper plan. Save your money, the 8.8 is fine, leave it alone. The engine is a wide open choice as long as it's currently being produced by Ford. I would install an engine from the Raptor truck. See if you can get one from a yard with all the necessary electronics. Custom headers will be necessary but well worth it. Potential here has no limits. Livernois Performance in Mich. can help. I'd like to do this one myself.

Yes. You'd be making people say WTF! Car people would probably know, but most people would be confused beyond possibility.

Just procharge it and build the motor. Huge power potential and much easier than an ecoboost swap or v8 swap.

@Mustangs
Not all Mustangs are made equal my friend. You can tell them apart by just looking at them.
To your point one fender will fit in any of them....that is where the similarity ends.
You cannot seriously tell me that a V6 looks exactly like a GT500 come on LOL.

My point is a sleeper looks likes a sleeper from any distance. If you see a mustang from far away it will look the same as a gt500 because it's the same body

Yes but a sleeper is supposed to start off like a car that's not fast in the first place...

I ll spell it out for you pal
Learn the difference between Mustangs
When you the difference between them and pull along side with your GT and you eat my dust with my sleeper which looks like a V6
Then you ll understand what sleeper is
Class in session
Do your homework now

Actually it doesn't take much to make a six look like a gt500 from a distance...
Now you have thought about insurance right cause if you get in a wreck and they find a 5 liter v8 under the good instead of a 3.7 liter v6 then they are gonna be mega donkey kong pissed. I say trade in the 6 and buy a 04 Cobra then take off all the styling ques and pump that baby up with mods. It'll look like and older mustang but perform like a monster.

The 2010-12 v6 look similar in design on the front to the 07 gt500. Where as the only difference on the newer ones is really just the badging and the grille.
