Are you a automatic or a stick? If you have a stick I would recommend the Barton short shifter it makes the car a whole new beast.

Will cost you 200 to 250 for parts and 400 to 600 for install.

There are many things I would attempt myself but would NEVER attempt gears myself. It is very involved and hard to get exactly right.

It sounds like you're off to a good start! A CAI and Bama custom tune is definitely a great start and is always my first recommendation to anyone who is entering the modification game. If you're looking for more power, you may want to look into a set of long tube headers and O/R mid-pipe. This will give you some decent power and will sound great!

You can also look into some suspension mods like control arms, lowering springs etc.. these mods should not be over looked because they are very beneficial! I also agree with what these guys said, a set of gears is going to be probably the best mod you can do. You'll notice huge gains in torque and acceleration! Since you're an AUTO, I would probably go with a set of 4.10's, your little sixxer will be a ton of fun to drive with that set up.

This is just a few recommendations and I hope it helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future.
