Front chrome grill surround.

I hate chrome plain and simple. And probably next paycheck I'll be getting the cdc grill, is there a way to easily remove the chrome grill surround upfront on my 2013 till then?

You could always plasti-dip it until you got the grille you wanted .... I can't remember how it exactly fits but I think it clips to the grille and I don't know that it will fit back into place with out the chrome surrounding .. I never tried to for it back in ...

I was in your same exact boat. Just wait for the new grille. It'll completely remove the chrome and all.

Until then you could plasti dip it

I replaced my V6 grille and chrome grille surround with the Boss 302 grille. Do not pull the grille out. You'll risk breaking things as well as scratching the paint. If you want to get a black grille surround, you'll need the GT grille surround (or the CDC grille, which has a built in grille surround). There are videos online on how to remove the V6's bumper cover, after that, it's pretty easy to do. The grille surround is clipped in and you can remove it using a flat head screwdriver. Then carefully slide it out the front of the bumper cover. The replacement grille will snap right into place. It's a 1.5-2 hour process, but pretty easy.

I covered my bumper in painters tape and then tied rope to my grille and pulled it out. No scratches or broken tabs.

The chrome tabs on the back of the grille surround didn't break? Because when I used a flat head, they seemed very stiff and didn't budge. Ended up having to break all of them. Didn't matter since I wasn't planning on putting the grille back on the car though.

Nope got it out intact with no problem. I couldn't pull it out by hand like the CDC guys did, but the rope did the trick.

When I put my cdc grill in I put painters tape around the outside, grabbed the holes around the pony emblem and was able to yank it out by hand. Top part came out first and I had to be patient and gently pull along the bottom to get it out but it's doable.

Huh, well looks like you can choose between a tactical approach and a brute force approach. Either way!

Has anyone ordered through stage3motorsports? I just bought my grill and was wondering how long it usually took to get stuff and things from them.

Front chrome grill surround.

I think I've heard some conflicting reviews on them. I always use American Muscle because they have GREAT customer service and they'll price match anyone.

Oh and the ME member discount

That is a sweet deal but if I'm not mistaken I believe AM does price match. Glad you like it though. It's probably the most aggressive looking in my opinion.
