Roush Front grill on V6

I have been looking at the forums and online, but am a little confused on what is applicable and what is not.

1. To install a Roush 7 bar grill can I do without replacing the whole front bumper cover to a GT front bumper cover?

2. If I remove the stock V6 grill can I just install a GT grill surround in that opening and then install the Roush Grill in the new GT surround? Or are the top grill openings THAT different on a V6 compared to a GT that the only way to get a Roush grill is to replace the whole damn front bumper cover...

any clarity?

On the 11 and 12 I believe you have to do the gt grill surround and the roush grill. An easy cheap upgrade is the whole gt bumper, that opens up more options for exterior mods.

When posting a question such as this, it's always best to specify the year Mustang you have, as the 2011 to 2012 model V6's differ from the 2011 to 2012 GT's. The 2013 to 2014 Mustangs share the same front bumper cover.

Better yet, add your year Mustang to your "signature" line, along with any mods that have been done (this can also help whenever you have specific questions). This way it's always there on all your posts. Here's how:

Select "control panel at top left of screen, then "edit signature". You can add up to 6 lines.

Sorry for thread jacking but man I am still lovin these comps you hooked me up with haha and I love the roush grille I wish it did fit on ours but sadly as usual they make the gt bumper different than the v6 I like to think it makes the v6 more unique haha

Sorry- what do you call cheap. Can you estimate a dollar factor?
Replacing the entire front bumper skin seems very expensive.

No disrespect intended. Thanks...........

I have a 2013 V6. Are you saying the frt bumper is the same as a GT other than the grill. If correct you just made my day as I would love to replace the grill with a GT or better grill but replacing the entire skin is cost restrictive. Thanks.........

No. You need the GT front bumper cover as well. The '13s and '14s lucked out because the V6s and GTs share the same front bumper cover. The '10-'12 weren't so lucky.
