Please help! need to remove instrument panel left side panel

hello guys, i have been reading these forums for a while but never thought my first post would be about asking a question about a problem i have, anyways my little girl was playing with a screwdriver that i left on my brand new mustang 2014 v6 and scratched the instrument panel left side panel, i found a replacement panel online which costs 37 dollars, but i have no idea how to remove the scratched panel, can you guys help me? do i need a special tool to remove it? do i need to remove another panel before i remove this one? i am attaching a picture where you can easily see the panel i need to remove and help me better, its part number 3 on the picture. i will be very happy if you guys help me figuring this out, thanks in advance

I don't see any place for fasteners in the pic or on mine. It may just be held in with clips. A trim removal tool and slow even pressure outward should do the trick.

I just went out and looked at mine and like the previous poster said you should be able to get something flat along the edge and pop it off. I did notice that there were a couple little tabs that appear to hook into the dash so be careful not to break those.

I've taken a lot of my dash apart at various points. I can verify: #3 is just held on with clips; it just prys / pops off. If I remember right, that one take a little effort.

You can pick up a Pry tool at Best Buy. I would also call your dealers service dept. or show up in person if you are unsure how to remove a part. They will have someone in the service area that will be able to give you advice.
