Especially if you have a full bolt on 3.7 already, with a few drive train mods.

I was reading some posts about a twin turbo option down the road?

Probably just have to design a different intercooler and throttle body Y - pipe design and you'll be golden.

Of course that'll probably come with the cost of forging and other engine related mods.

Well you get rid of a lot of the stuff minus axle backs. Yea just a different manifold and intercooler and cross pipe but it'd be easy to do!

Well you can run less boost and be like twice as efficient with twins so it's about the same as running a single

Would my MPG'S increase lol. JK. Maybe if I keep my foot off pedal.

Definitely would be a quick car. Would that be a point where you would want a standard transmission? I don't feel like an auto could hold up to all that crank torque?

Mine went up 3 on regular highway driving! Nope auto is good for a thousand plus from the factory and generally a second faster at the track

Not too bad for a little v6, only 1/8th mile but decently impressive for low timing tune!

I would call those times a bit underwhelming considering a full bolt on 3.7 (suspension, tires, exhaust, intake, tune) is capable of those times or better with similar trap speeds.

That said, you are still in the tuning phase and I'm sure in the 1/4 mile this car could potentially put some distance between itself and an NA 3.7.

Yea the 1/8th mile isnt rhe strong suit. With the low timing it doesn't have the tq potential that it could have so if it would be running 1.7-1.9 sixty foot that it should be would have been quite a bit faster. Still was beating stock 5.0s and the camaro ss with bolt ons. It back halfs pretty good! Based of the difference between this and the stock one figured we'd do mid to low 12s in the quarter how it is fully tuned 11s easily

Well get it tuned first as that is a bit optimistic. I know you were cutting a 2.2 in the 60' but I still think some bugs are present.

I think it's reasonable we have a pro charger on the same everything else except he's running 1.9 60' running a 12.5 in the quarter so no reason we shouldn't be there on a tire and fully tuned because we are almost a dead even race now

These times aren't much better than a procharger, so I'm waiting to see it when it's fully tuned and as it is selling what kind of Numbers it runs

Well your on a good path considering its not fully tuned and it's running less psi than the procharger while putting up similiar times.

Yes it's on 5 pounds maxed out the stock injectors so working on it with the new ones but the data isn't all the so we are having to make it all. Hopefully we will have some serious numbers up soon though

It's a 64/67 triple ball bearing billet wheel oil less turbo with an enkenell wheel top of the line turbo.

Inconel

What is the recommended inspection and servicing of the oiless turbo?

What RPM are you seeing boost onset and full boost?

This is what concerns me. Research has shown Comp wants it serviced at approximately 20k miles and the cost is $250+ and then down time. I have not read great things on their customer service or turnaround time. For a DD like mine I can put that many miles in a year and can not afford the down time.

We are seeing it start to spool at like 2200 then full boost around 3 when it's tuned hoping to get full boost a little earlier. All turbos need service around then anyways but it's not necessary just recommended. They have been fast with us especially with the V6 set ups, or turbo sizing we are doing. We are going to offer a oil fed turbo but just adds more time to the install and it's not much cheaper. They told us it was safe from 25-30 for sure maybe more. It would be like 2 weeks probably because we keep them in check now

What is a safe boost to run this at with stock internals? It seems at 450 rwhp and 500 rwtq it wouldn't be good for the engine?

Anywhere from 8-10 should be ok. There's no guarantee with boost but I've been running 5psi for about a month now making about 400 and it's been perfectly fine. With e85 or meth for sure shouldn't have a problem.

Does the blow off sound pretty cool then? I saw the video on IG, but what do you think?

Yes it's louder now I'm probably gonna put a heavier spring in it then it will be really loud. I love the car though it's so fun to drive and hangs with most cars or beats them and it's not even at full potential

One thing people need to take from this..

When you see 5 psi of boost, that doesn't seem like much, considering some cars are running 22 psi stock.

Don't focus on the boost pressure, it's basically meaningless. The thing to focus on is the flow rate of the turbo.

Say you have two turbos, both running 9 psi of boost. However, turbo A is flowing 54 lb/min, turbo B is flowing 36 lb/min. The difference between the two could be 50 rhwp or more at the same boost pressure.

I'm ready to see this thing tuned and on full kill mode.

That's so hard to explain to people but you did it nicely. Should be this weekend for sure it's already faster getting these injectors figured out. Not running out of fuel up top

High boost is usually on low compression engines. They're designed to boost stack to create high compression, while ours is high compression to start with.

Anyway... This topic has me thinking. When I think, bad things happen. lol

Got some racing videos there's me vs a headers and cam g8 from a dig first race. Then there's one against a truck on a 200 shot around 3 minutes but you can't see what happens. Took him still, more videos to come this weekend but here's a taste. Check it out on YouTube Baytown tamaulipas should be on there. Also raced a 600+ gt500 video should be on there later

Now you just have to share the excitement and get the kit completed lol!

That video is with the larger injectors?

What exhaust setup you running, not that I could hear it in the video anyway, also is that your turbo I hear or another car?

Either way looking pretty awesome dude!

It's made to order! Have to have 3 weeks for the turbo to come in!

Yes it's with bigger injectors and e85! It's not much faster than it was with the 93 just safer like running meth! It's just dumped straight out of the turbo and probably my car!

Thanks did you see the one against the gt500?
