A lot of confusion over this. Our cars exhaust from motor to tailpipe: manifolds,h pipe, over axle pipes(catback) we don't have a typical catback because of the factory h pipe or x pipe. The turbo kits exhaust replaces the driver's manifold, and the stock h pipe/x pipe. The stock or aftermarket axle back(catback remain to get connected to a one in two out y pipe. I would bet that if you change your stock axle back or catback it would work just not with the midpipe(h pipe/x pipe)

Clamphier, did you notice any performance difference from running the regular exhaust vs. running it right from your hood? Trying to decide if it would be beneficial to open the exhaust from the stock 2.25" to something between 2.5" and 3" after the turbo's Y-pipe. (So basically I would be opening the over-axle pipes & mufflers / aka: "Cat-back").

There's a slight difference I never dynod it with the full exhaust but it's usually about 10% loss you could run gt exhaust or 3 inch and be good probably

---------- Post added at 12:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:10 PM ----------

But it wasn't a noticeable feel difference

What did alrefire have to do to make the kit fit on a 2011-12? I'm in the same boat. Don't you have to cut a notch in the bumper or something?

I had to trim top of the bumper and lower grille.
It's not that noticeable

So the downpipe is 3"? Did you ever have the full exhaust hooked up on your car since turboed?

Cool I'm thinking of running a single 3" to about midway under the car with a resonator and turn down if the full exhaust doesn't sound good. Just planning out what I need thanks

Well now yes that's how it is and I like the sound. But before it went straight down like normal exhaust just had it dumped right past the drivers door and it sounded about the same once I turned it out just echod a little too much for me

Did you leave your axleback in or do you have empty exhaust cutouts out back?
