What's your definition of 'worst'? Not a bang for your buck? There are many depending upon if you're running a stock engine. Coils, fuel injectors, throttle bodies and spaces, shorties (if you're getting em installed with $400-500 just labor..like in my town) etc

A K&N drop in air filter. There's another post on this that has dyno results; the numbers dropped when the stock air cleaner filter was removed and replaced with a K&N "million mile" air cleaner filter.

Not the CAI, but the drop in filter.

Shorties with a tune can give you more HP and TQ in the lower to mid power bands. This is not the same as increasing peek numbers, but moving lower parts of the curve up before the peak making them flatter. Lower end HP and TQ is what the V6 needs for street.

If strip, then long headers with no-cat pipe (or high flow cats for strip/street) can increase overall peek numbers and support higher end RPM.

1200 watt per channel sound systems. Zero gains, Mustangs were designed to hear the engine. These sounds systems just annoy old farts and attract girls you don't want to bring home to Mother.

My CatchCan get me 10hp at 0rpm, Zero gain but it does serve a purpose for engine life. My Engine cover, another 10hpr at 0rpm, Zero gain but makes the engine finally look balanced. My blue anodized engine cap lids, Zero gains, but makes a good match to the engine contrast. ($99+$129+$45=$273). But I feel its worth it for the dress up I wanted.

Put 2 huge 12 inch subs in the back. The extra sound blasting out the back should make you go faster, even though the car weighs an extra 100-150 pounds.

How was the install? What's up with passing that coupon on? I usually pay out the *** for shipping since I live in Europe.

Lol.. Shorties are not a "bad" bolt on. I love mine, gave me more low end grunt and combined with my tune it really pulls off the line. However I did install myself, so i saved myself anywhere from $300-$600. At that point the "bang for the buck" would be decreased.

Some people don't care and prefer listening to music. I wouldn't say it's the worst mod you can get

I know that. But I have legitimately seen people act like their car is faster after putting in subs.

Lol. Very true. And, subs aren't for 'listening' to music... They're for losing your hearing, trying to look gangster without committing crimes and annoying neighbors and fellow motorists.

Can confirm. Had about 150 pounds and 3.6 cu ft of speaker box, 2 12" CVX kickers and a 1500 watt Rockford amp in my sixxer. Man those speakers really improved throttle response every time the bass hit. You could definitely feel a ton of more top end power with that Rockford at 1 OHM making 1900 watts.

Can't forget ab the cheap $30 led glow lights that pulse to the bass, that's how you know its working so well (actually the bass was so loud the sh*t just blinked like nothing was playing).

Don't cheap out on your subs people, you'll be shooting yourself in the foot at the strip.

Rear strut tower braces. Yeah they do a lot for the stiffening, but that feeling wears off after 2 hours. Looks cool in my trunk though. Click image for larger version

+1. I keep about forty pounds of LEDs in my trunk at all times, and I always get the jump off the line, thanks to the LEDs in my trunk, floor boards, back seat, roof, grill, engine bay and my wheels of course. Looks like my Pony is ****ing a Christmas tree on steroids.

I'm sure if you took them off you'd feel a difference again. Same with the front tower brace, felt tight as hell for a little bit, wore off pretty soon...

If you put the car back on a 2 mile oval track, you can tell the front brace is there and different from stock. At least I did.

Which is something I don't really understand. In the creation of a song, theres a whole band playing, and a lot of money put into the recording to be sure its of quality, yet some folks want to focus on anything 80hz and below and amplify those frequencies to the maximum possible amount. I personally want to hear the entire song, the way it was recorded. Not just a certain frequency range. Just my $.02

Has to be. Being somewhat of an audiophile, I've listened to countless sets of speakers and headphones and can confirm that Beats aren't very good at all.

This has been a good thread so far. I've gotten a few good chuckles from some of the posts...I liked the stereo reference to bringing home the girls mom would not be impressed with!
