It does quiet it down a bit but it makes it deeper & takes away the rasp! What exhaust setup are u running that I wanna put the resonators on?

If all u have is straight pipes I think il'll sound good! It'll be like having pipe bombs which is a muffler delete with a resonated tip! The main thing u hear when it's loud is the high pitch rasp the resonators eliminate most of that so there's more of a refined deep rumble left! It kills a lot of the drone but outside it still sound loud!
What I did was bought 2 resonators at autozone & had someone hold them into my tips (hope that makes sense) while I cold start it & rev it up. It gave me an idea of what it was gonna sound before I had them welded on!

I had the thrush glass packs I got them at auto zone..I had them for over a year & no problem. I think any resonator u go with will be fine..I know a lot of people run 5.0 take off resonators & magnaflow too. I don't have a YouTube page. My exhaust set up on my old 3.7 was Long tune bbk headers/catted x pipe, resonators & pype bombs. What future plans do u have for ur exhaust?

Check out Charlie santos (a user on here) YouTube page. He had full exhaust w/ resonators paired up with roush, pype bombs & I think straight pipes! I can vouch for the full exhaust/resonators/pype bombs I had that on my 3.7 & sounded mean AF!

If the resonator is 26" then it's gonna be around 30 overall. It might fit..mine were around 24" & still had a couple of inches. I'd get under ur car & measure tho to be sure.

So Ive been reading this thread and it got me very interested. I just installed the Mac axle back on my 2014. I like the way it sounds but there is a litle too much drone for me. Would putting 2 resonators on help with the drone?

Sorry necro post another old thread. Better than starting a new one I suppose.

Bought a lethal performance H-pipe from a member here (awesome guy by the way) and he had OEM GT Resonators welded onto it. Not bad for $100 I thought!

I was ecstatic but holy cow was I wrong. Do not get me wrong at low rpms it sounds great. Once you hit 3k though....beeees in a can! My ears are forever bleeding...

My question is....are my MAC axle backs to blame for the horrid sound? Or do I just need to bite the bullet and purchase some longer resonators? Or is it the GT resonators?

I wish there was a place where you could just slap exhaust pieces together test fit, etc for no charge! That would be great wouldn't it? haha.

I believe the GT OEM resonators are about 10-12 inches long. I believe!

I can definitely relate to this one. I don't have the resonators on my "lethal off road H" and I get the same thing. I'm installing 14" resonators here pretty soon. I'll keep you posted on how that goes. Also these are 4" diameter. Those gts are what 3.25"?

I am not entirely sure to be honest. Well thanks and keep us updated!

I am planning on getting 18" - 23" and will put them where everyone else does right after the mid pipe. I believe the Lethal H-pipe only has about 15"-17" to play with on both sides.

Not too sure if that would be worth doing compared to doing the longer ones.

A few years back I put on some 18" glass packs on to smooth out the Roush abs, it made the exhaust so quiet that the next day I had them removed.
Might just be what your looking for, they definitely will take it down a few notches to where you'd be okay with.
I still have them and would just give them to you, but shipping would probably be more then just ordering them from a vendor lol.
