Gears, highways, supercharging

Hey guys,
I have a 2014 V6 manual w the 2.73 gears.. I plan to one day (soon) put a Procharger on it (maybe once they come out with the '13-'14 kit).
Now, before that, I want to put in gears. Since I do quite a bit of freeway driving, I was leaning towards 3.55 However, considering the future supercharging, and the fact that I still want good mileage, would the 3.31 be a better bet?
Basically my question is- would the 3.55 cause me to have traction issues and crappy gas mileage, especially once I Procharge it? I do plan on tracking it.

I have 3.55s and I love them. RPM sits at 2k at 70 mph and I got 28mpg on a recent 200 mile trip. You will have traction issues if you want to, but it's easily controlled. When I first got gears I would launch like I had 2.73 and I would just spin. 3.55 with boost would be fun! Check out the turbo kit coming for our cars. Limitless performance and fabrication in Texas has been developing a kit. I would take that over a procharger any day.

Hi I went to my dealer asking about 3.31 factory gear upgrade and he told me I would be disappointed in them. Put in the 3.55s and they great, and can still work with boost.

I don't get as good MPG as GBD is getting, but likely that could be my tune and the weather out when I last checked. (Its been put away now for months). I can get about 25-26 at 70mph, 75mph sits at ~2,256 rpms for me.

not much stop and go traffic im assuming^^. I used to get 37-38mpg on the freeway with hardly any traffic, but i think that was with stock rims. With my 18" heavy AMR wheels i lose about 1.3-1.5MPG over stock tires and rims.

Well, some stock wheels are 18" , like on the Pony Pak cars. When I had 2.73 and the 18" rims, I could get 38-42 on "Flat" 5 mile runs at 55mph.

You can call whatever you want. I'm just reading what the computer says. I got 28.3 today on my trip to the lake.

I could get 33 to 34 with my 2.73.

Anyway this is not an argument between gas mileage, I was simply trying to help someone out.

3.55 for me. With a Procharger I would do something taller. The car is torque challenged. A lower gear helps a bunch but the Procharger (+100 Lbs. ft. torque) will do the same thing and more. I'd add the Procharger, drive it and then think about changing the gear. The super low 4.23 first gear is no plus with low gears. It would be a lot better with a 3.4 first gear.

Oh mannn look like this thread is only making my decision more difficult haha.
Although I do like the idea of getting the Procharger first, and then deciding.
