Are all Mustangs pre-wired for Fog Lights?

For ease of manufacturing, does Ford run fog light wiring on all Mustangs even if they don't get fog lights at the factory?

Thanks.

My best guess is that if they were pre-wired, Starky would not have to sell a harness along with the switch, and would only have to sell the switch.

Mustang Fog Light Wiring & Switch Kit - Fits V6 and Boss 302 (2013-2014)

At that URL you will see this statement:"Base V6 and Boss 302 Mustangs did not come from the factory with fog light wiring. If you have added fog lamps, this is all you need to complete your installation."

For folks with 2010-12

I was hoping. But you make sense. Years ago, when stereo was an option, I had a Camaro that was pre-wired for speakers even if you didn't get a radio.

Thanks for the reply.

All questions are good questions, so thanks for asking. Yes some items are like that. I believe based on thread on this site discussing it, the heated mirrors and Pony Lights on the mirrors are prewired based on folks finding the wires there and they turn live with 12 volts when the activation should happen on the heater or opening the door for the Pony LIghts.

Based on that, you could get heated Pony light mirrors from ford and just bolt them on. But I would check the wires to see if they are there to make sure if you have a base and not the premium. Even on the Premium these were options and maybe the wires were only run on the Premiums.

One thing that is pre-wired is the auto headlight sensor. It is on the dash.
Simple headlight switch replacement and you have auto headlights in base model. Rock Auto has a good price.
At least in my base 12 V6.

Yes that is correct and if you get the Starkey kit you also gain the auto headlights you mention as well simply because of the OEM fog light switch has that.
