Roush Exhaust and Sound

I just put a Roush axleback exhaust on my V6 Mustang 2014.
It sounds great, I love the startup but it's way too loud when accelerating.
Is there a way to keep it down little bit, or
is there another axleback that's really good when startup but everything else similar to the original exhaust?

P/S: I believe i waked up my entire neighbor

Resonators help with the Roush axlebacks alot..it takes the rasp out.

But it'll sound like a fart cannon and increase your drone. Trust me. Been there done that. Still trying to sell them

The sound will die down once you put a couple hundred miles on them I installed mine and they were a bit too loud now its a nice tone but it still too loud on WOT.

Id try installing glasspacks resonators like this vid.

You didn't do enough research before you bought them, Roush are notoriously loud. You can put resonators in and they will become pretty quiet, almost back to stock. Before you purchase your next set of AB I suggest doing a lot more research before pulling the trigger. Figure out what tone and volume your looking for, not just at idle but at wot also.

this is my car with the resonators and pipe bombs inside with windows up.

also has long tubes and a catted x pipe too.

give u an idea of how deep resonators make the tone.

But with a straight through design muffler you'll wanna run headers. Without, roush. They will sound similar but roush are boomier. Feel me brah?

I was going to do LTS with catted x but with the Canadian shipping/duty it was maxing my winter funds out, but after hearing a few YouTube vids that have that set up it was just stupid loud and ridiculously raspy. I decided with bbk shorties with some gears next month and some appearance mods instead. I was looking at my past orders from AM and deducted that I have a problem! Lol

I've taken some hits by those that like the Roush, but you describe what I also experienced when I installed them on my 2011. They lasted all of 2 hours on my ride before they were removed. Since I have to leave my neighborhood around 4:00 AM in the morning to go to work, I need to keep my neighbors happy.

I ended up with a set of GT500's. There will be many posts offering suggestions on an alternate axle back setup should you decide to change them out. Not sure as to how quiet they may get after a few miles on them. Most say an exhaust gets louder as the carbon buildup in the chambers.

These are what I put on and they sound great yet not a lot of drone. They are for 11-12 year models yet they fit great on my 14.

Try adding ford racing midpipe it took that sort of raspy loud noise you hear when youre entering the power band away and brought the whole tone down a bit. I've had roush for a year now it took a month to tone down and now I don't even notice them except when I get compliments

I have a set of #15595 Magnaflow Street series axle-backs on mine. They sound great at startup and don't have much drone at cruising speed. I posted on this yesterday with some pics, but I it hasn't shown up on here yet. Do you have to get permission to post pics on this forum?

Thank you all for your inputs and suggestions.
I have removed my roush and back to my quite and sneaky ride.
And thank for those who suggested a trade, unfortunately I want to stick to my stock exhaust for now. Good luck on finding one.
