I have a 2013 Manual GT. I have to admit I am not a huge fan of the manual. I love manuals but I feel like the one in my Mustang is a little sloppy. I have a Barton Short Shifter and new bracket going in tomorrow. I have read allot that says they will change everything. Once that happens I will let you know but as of now I have questioned getting the manual even though I love the interaction when driving. A tune definitely helps shifting from what I understand.

idk about adding paddles I doubt it's easy and bet it would require a new engine control module at least. My advice on swithching is unless you have a highly moddified car it'll be cheaper to sell and loose the $ in a sale rather than to trade out transmissions. One of the guys on Fast Ford Muscle was going from auto to manual (in his customized V6) but I don't know how that worked out.

With the paddles it's really best to have a dual clutch transmission designed to do that type of shifting.

There is a thread around here that someone swapped out his auto to a manual.

Do you have a semi-automatic transmission? My 13 auto has it and I love it. I Can cycle through all the gears no problem and no clutch. As far as changing transmissions?lol It's probably possible. Sounds like a resale disaster though. sell your mustang and buy a manual if you really want one that bad

Nope the 2011s don't have it. And yeah I might end up selling it and buying a manual. Btw I saw a paddle shifter kit on eBay for semi automatic mustangs. U should check it out seems cool

Could you mean a manual trans without a clutch pedal as opposed to an automatic with a torque converter? There's one of those in the Fiesta and Focus but not available in the Mustang is it?

There are automatics and standards. What is this "semi automatic" that is described? I hope the automatic with two slug push buttons is not being described this way...

I can relate with my 13 manual, but just the one piece Barton bracket for me fix it beautifully! I used to get lock out every once in awhile going into third and the bracket eliminated it. That OEM bracket is a real cheap pos! That one little upgrade makes it feel like a new new transmission.

Two slug push buttons. Lol. I bought an automatic car bro, those "sluggish" buttons I barely use but it's sure as f*** cooler to have them there then not

No judgment, and agree on that. When I tested it, I thought it was broken...because I wanted one thing, and the tranny said

"no, no. I know better than you."
I got the transmission that is right for me, doesn't mean t is right for everyone.
